  • Debriefing with a counselor can help to incorporate the changes in their reality. A written Victim Impact Statement, can be received from the victims. The health screening can pick up TB or other diseases from the local food and water and simply prison life. Malnutrition may be present along with PTSD. A few good night's sleep couldn't hurt. Welcome home 🇺🇸 🌎

What he said about the lasting effects after being free is very true. My family members were in concentration camps for years. My mother severed for over 20 years with nightmares. My grandmother had a significant change in her disposition, according to others. Depression lingered or years even after being saved. Patience, kindness, compassion and listening. Also, making sure they eat and are surrounded by a supportive environment. Prayers for these people and their families.

They’ll go to Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) at Ft Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas where they’ll be treated for mental and physical health. These hostages were treated a little differently. They usually don’t let them see family right away, it’s too emotional. I’m glad they’re home.
