Published 2023-03-12
Plenty of places to eat in st Augustine. These places we have chosen to visit multiple times. Come with us as we visit our top five locations through out the historic district.

From lobster corndogs to shrimp and grits. With there being so many restaurants to choose from, it can be overwhelming. But you can take OUR word on the food at these restaurants and you won't go wrong we have tried many in town.

If you have been to any of these restaurants yourself we would love to hear about it and your favorite dish.

We would like to introduce you to buddy our VW 1961 bus. Leave us a comment for how good he looks in his wrap. Or if you’ve taken your photo with him.

What a great source of information if you are planning a vacation or field trip to St. Augustine. Check the weather ahead of time and contact us with qustions about your tour.

Serendipity!!! Happening upon you two yesterday!!!! Took your suggestion and went to Michael's! Ate in the courtyard! Charred Shisito peppers!!!! Short rib arrancino!!!!! MONFOGO!!!! Totally unique from any I've had before. LaChambra chicken!!!! All the dishes looked beautiful, smelled amazing and were delectable! Combination of fresh ingredients and their own spices made it a memorable meal. Thanks again
  • Breakfast and a secret among the locals and off the beaten path. Be prepared to wait in line. Well worth it!! Oh shoot I am giving up all my secrets. But I support all the locals. Blue Hen Cafe. Lastly Caps on the Water. Dinner watching the sunset outside fabulous.
  • So happy to see the Drunken Horse to receive some recognition! Great spot that gets easily missed.
  • I grew up in Orange Park not far from there my whole life but live in San Antonio Texas now. However I am coming back to visit at the end of the month and going to make a stop to St.Augustine. Is the White Lion still there?.
  • You are spot on. I am a local. I would also suggest Preserved. If you can venture across The Bridge of Lions, LLAMA. Fabulous. Small intimate Peruvian food. One of our favorites.

…putting together info, including good food, for our upcoming St. Augustine trip. Schmagel's Bagels was added to the list, till I saw the owner’s replies to non favorable reviews. I don’t get into the merits of such reviews, and, in the end it doesn’t really matter, what it matter is the attitude the owner is showing in her responses…definitely non a nice person, in fact, not even an ok person…pretty sure with each reply she crafts she congratulates herself. Hard pass for me, even if the bagels where the absolutely best in the world, no, thank you…
