BoA is such a queen, it’s actually incredible how she’s constantly on the uprise ever since the 2000’s.
  • @sur_un_nuage
the fact that she’s an “older idol” while she’s literally still just 36… like she’s still young after 22 years of working hard

I actually hadn't realised her brother passed away. For those that don't know she and her brother went to an SM audition where her brother auditioned as a b-boy. She was just there to support him but he didn't actually pass the audition and she was casted instead. Without him, we might never had had the pleasure of knowing BoA. I hope he rests in peace.

She IS the Queen of Kpop and deserves everything she has worked for!
  • @Elizabeth_Paz
BoA had to start from the ground in 3 countries (KR, JP and US), that is amazing! and also doing it alone, poor thing, she's so admirable, and STILL GOING STRONG, BOA JJANG

without BoA, Rain and other first generation artists to build the foundation, where would kpop be? We should take time to appreciate their hard work and understand their struggles, because it’s another way to show our gratitude.
  • She's the embodiment of iconic, she deserves way more fame and recognition atm , shame to the ones who dare to talk dirty about her saying she's a nobody. She's one of the mostimportant icons in Asian music history and nobody can deny that. She's definitely the best female soloist ever , over two decades of career and still giving her best on stage , now that's what I call consistency.

you forgot to mention her debut in Japan, which was the pavement for her world wide success
  • @SeikiRikodou
I saw her first as a Jpop idol not knowning that she's Korean and SM's Ace as well. She's so well loved in Japan that every time she sings Meri Kuri her fans interrupts her and they sing the whole thing instead, Until now that's one my most favorite performances by BoA and her fans.

Anime fan here! I’ll never forget hearing Boa in the iuyasha ending ‘every heart’. Her voice is so beautiful she literally paved the way in so many areas for K-pop idols. Love her!

reading comments that praises BoA makes me so happy. i always felt like many kpop fans already forgotten her, and i felt like i was the only one who still remembers her. she deserves lots of love and appreciation
  • @ashtnthekid
BoA's "Only One" , "Better" and "Girls On Top" will forever be my favs AAAA love her
  • BoA was from a different era when k-pop was much less established and she singlehandedly made SM a successful company by becoming successful in Japan. SM bet everything that BoA would be a big hit in Japan and she moved there and studied japanese so she could sound like a native.
  • I am not BoA fan but know that she truly is an ICON! I really respect her alot she has been in the kpop industry since 22 years it must have been really hard for her!
  • @flayful
BoA is the first KPop artist that I've seen on TV 📺 accidentally while switching cable channels. It was her "Atlantis Princess" MV playing on Arirang TV and since then I got interested with KPop even tho I've never heard of the Korean language before! ❤️ She's an icon def 💯
  • @mitu_music
Damn BoA is just in early 30s...plz don't act like she is 50-60yrs old....Love you BoA 😭❤️
  • @seoulgt86
I remember when she debuted in 2000. I was in Seoul serving my time in the army and she was the youngest idol at the time. She has done so much. If she ever needs a break, she deserves it.
  • To those that hate on her please get a life. We should appreciate these first gen idols, from Seo Taj and the boys to SES to H.O.T because these groups inspired a lot of groups we have today. Boa is the Queen of KPOP for a reason.
  • @Johanoist
She's definitely the definition of pioneer! Imagine being sent by your agency to a whole different country in the early 2000s, pretty much by herself, not understanding a single thing and not having a translator and being forced to learn the language so you can communicate, all of this when you're just 14-15 years old... And still being able to pull it off and be one of the top stars in Japan. I can't see anyone nowadays doing this.
  • Sorry new kpop fans, This is the OG queen of kpop! (and still is) Without her SM is nothing. Haters are gonna hate but it doesn’t change the fact she is thee actual queen of kpop!
