Charles Barkley is a man of common sense. Gotta love the guy.

kills me when they say bird did not have physical ability but he beat you with his mind. well, your mind cant shoot 50/40/90.......hit all the impossible game winners, make all those passes and get all those rebounds without having GREAT ABILITY ,,, you guys just stereotype him because he weas not chiseled. he was damned gifted athletically!!!

Charles Barkley is becoming ever more the gentleman no one would have dreamed he could be.

One of the big reasons I am a Charles Barkley fan is because he owns his mistakes... AND he tells the unvarnished truth.

Love Barkley...zero BS...says it like it is...great knowledge of the game...and generally funnier than hell.

Now, that's why I respect Sir Charles. He tells you the truth.

Larry Bird was an athlete, and he was one hell of a competitor.

Pat Riley once said “if I had to pick one player to take a shot to save a game, I'd pick Michael Jordan. If I had to pick one player to take a shot to save my life… I'd pick Larry Bird.” That says it all.

I remember that guys on the Dream Team were shocked at how funny and engaging that Bird was, because they didn't really know him very well going into the Olympics, and all that they did know of him was that he was a fierce competitor that would rip your heart out and trash talk you while he did it. Bird was every bit the fierce competitor that MJ and Kobe were.

Whether you like Charles Barkley or not he will give you his true take on things and I respect that!

Larry was also one of the greatest passers and shooters in NBA history.

I love Barkleys honesty. He just tells it like it is.

Bird was definitely a very gifted athlete in the early 80s. I just think people forgot about it considering how he ended the last few years of his career with all of his injuries. However, you can't deny his leadership, toughness, and will certainly helped compensate for anything he lost later on.

All the guys who played either with or against Barkley said the same thing, he's the best friend you can have, but he's 100% honest & says what's on his mind with no filter! Larry I think gets forgotten about because he wasn't the high flyer like Jordan, wasn't built like LeBron, wasn't 7' tall, but the one thing Larry beat you with was his mind. His basketball IQ was off the charts, & he & Magic Johnson saw things before they happened! Larry was a sweet, loving, funny guy off the court, as was Magic- on the court, they were all business, & refused to lose!!

How can you not love Sir Charles? He tells the truth as he sees it; no punches pulled.

Bird was athletic! He didn't fly through the air like Mike but watch him move while playing, the guy was a remarkable athlete.

I'm not much of a basketball fan but I love listening to Charles because he can put basketball into a human perspective.

Gotta love Charles! The man tell you like it is according to him and a lot of the times he's spot on.
