This is a good book. Does provide a step by step introduction to how to build things youtube.com/post/UgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3H… , also does offer some steps. Includes pictures to give you ideas for layouts and such. If you are looking for a guide, this is not exactly what you want. But if you are trying to familiarize yourself with the way that pole barn building and other out buildings, are made, then this will work just as you need it to. A few things in this book are a barn (of course), detached garage, storage building, and coops.

Crazy that you guys built this in under 3 hours, thats gotta be some kinda world record!
  • @MegaDeansy
I know it's a pain but I really wish they'd do a lot more of these 2hr+ vids - without doubt they're THE best thing to watch on YouTube right now !. I LOVE EM !
  • @LordoftheCats
I can't believe I sat and watched this whole video, but you guys made it fun, interesting, and educational. So much talent and craftsmanship in one place. Love the attention to detail and that you guys think the project out so far ahead. Thanks.
  • As much as I enjoy watching these videos, I can't help but think of how cool it would be as the homeowner to have a video like this showing the whole process of your house being built.

This book is a comprehensive guide for anyone who wants to build a second unit on their property. youtube.com/post/UgkxzaRUJNcbypw-fRBDbqqz43ULIa-1E… It showcases various types of houses, such as garage apartments, with photos, videos, and floor plans. The book provides the square footage and the dimensions of each house, as well as the option to order the plans or customize them according to your preferences. You can choose from a range of styles, from ultra modern to cottages and A frame lake houses. The book also offers suggestions for sheds, pool houses, and office studio buildings. This book is an ideal resource for the aspiring home designer.
  • Love seeing the integrity in your build. The world needs more builders like this super talented crew.
  • I came for some woodworking tips but instead I received a ton of knowledge on every aspect of building a house. I didn't expect me to watch the whole thing and enjoy it so much. You guys really do it all and surely know your work. The best thing is that you're actually having a lot of fun at work and seem like a really well connected team of friends doing what you love. Thank you for this experience. It felt like being there with you.
  • Love this video. I'm a former builder from Georgia. At 1:09 you asked why the pencils are flat. 1) They won't roll off the surface you lay them on. 2) But they can be used for fine measuring or spacing. They are 1/4" thick and 1/2" wide. 3) The lead is thick to resist breaking, and you can scrub the lead down to a sharp but wide shape for precision marking.
  • Having built roughly 400 homes, 58 yrs old now, in my working life, I got a real kick outta watching your crew work. Professionals with a lot of respect for each other. That's what gets the job done. Built in Alabama, Massachusetts, and Colorado.....
  • I’m closing in on my retirement and I’d like to move from Minnesota to a warmer climate, but the prices on homes are stupidly ridiculous and Mortgage prices has been skyrocketing on a roll(currently over 7%) do I just invest my spare cash into stock and wait for a housing crash or should I go ahead to buy a home anyways

These guys are fricken legends. Attention to detail and workmanship is second to none. No corner's cut!!! Gives me great hope for America in general.
  • @IhabFahmy
The best thing about this build is how you guys enjoy what you're doing.
  • I have to say this is the best of the best when it comes to construction videos. I watched the whole wideo start to finish in one take. I love the way it was filmed and edited and the voice over, th little jokes and laughs were the best, the technical details were detailed enough that i understood the basics and maybe even more, but not too much that i got bored. Overall an extremely pleasant experience watching this.

This is what made me fall in love with home construction, the goofy fun times you have with guys you build a brotherly relationship with doing the job you love. It’s hard ass work but man when a job is wrapped up it is possibly the most satisfying thing when you look at the finished product and can say man I did this… we did this! Absolutely amazing job y’all! Bravo 👏🤙
  • @ericskorey573
Perkins Brothers. I started watching you in the beginning of the YouTube days. I’ve learned so much from you building and remodeling my house. I miss the lunch videos. Hot sauce! Bring them back as you wrap up the Modern Build.
  • Man, I wish all builders would put in as much effort and dedication into what they are building as these guys do. These guys are fantastic.
  • As a former contractor/builder I have to say I really enjoy the coraderie of the crew. I am now retired but I miss the days of cutting up and working on a project with a bunch of fellas you know and work well together with.
  • I love these older videos. They're so easy to watch and relaxing. The true essence of the crew is captured . Delightful!
  • I amazed how you guy's get on so well. I'm a retried builder what I miss the most is the banter and the jokes. it's great fun when you woke with a great crew. it's a brilliant job you all have done. Good luck for the future. God bless you all. Paddy from Belfast Ireland. 🇮🇪
