Probably the injectors mate ! I’ve got the same issue on my 325i, what happens is that the piezo electric injectors leak fuel overnight and then the engine burns rich and misfires. I need to get mine changed with index 11 ones !

Yes, it was a snapped valve spring, so no compression. Fixed the valve spring (without taking the head off) and all was well. Test compression first, if compression ok, itll be the injectors leaking.
