Honestly I feel like it’s very obvious that the OSRS team cares deeply about their game and it’s playerbase. The level of depth they’ve gone into preparing sailing and keeping the community informed every step of the way says a lot. We are blessed to have such a great team working on OSRS.

Runescape dropping better content than Diablo 4

Another great ship cosmetic would being able to use boss head's/items change the look of our ship such as a figurehead, or styling of our ship (similar to how it is with slayer helmets)

I can’t wait to see how Rendi breaks the game and gets into Ape Atoll before doing monkey madness on a new account lol

Does this mean that we can finally get a new Sea Shanty track if sailing passes (make it happen lads vote yes) ?

20 years... 20 years i've waited for this skill and it's finally coming. It's beautiful.

I love the idea of Elvarg “gently shooing away” new players who haven’t finished Dragon Slayer yet. For lore reasons, I hope Crandor is actually dangerous to approach. Think about how much more eager someone would be to actually beat Elvarg if they had previously lost a ship to her!!

I voted for shamanism, but i am so glad sailing is going ahead seeing this. I’m hyped, i think it will just do nothing but add to the game! Big up Jagex!
  • @Dankesthill
you should be able to recruit Captain Siad from tourist trap as he has been talking about sailing 19 years now

I bought a sailboat in real life to prep for this skill ! Can’t wait to grind sailing while sailing !!
  • they gotta make miscellenia a port where you can export your goods to different areas for increased profit. Tower defenses there for unfriendly boats would be sick as well.

This video has swayed my opinion on sailing, the work done so far looks great.

Oh my gosh, I suggested a sailing skill akin to Construction like.... 13 years ago on the forums! I can't believe all these years later, they've finally added it into the game! I'll have to check this all out, I'm really excited to see how it works.

Expeditions sound so awesome. Procedural generated dungeons are exactly what OSRS needs. The randomness makes gear prep so much fun. Similar to dungeoneering but without the skill attachment. They could take expeditions outside of sailing and release them annually alongside raids.

Ngl boys, this seems like a lot of fun! Bit hesitant on how big of an impact it has on the rest of the game, but if implemented correctly it could be very cool! Cautiously optimistic.
  • @skurptheyurp
I genuinely enjoy how silly most of the recent marketting has been, OSRS has a certain whimsey to it and im glad the team is embracing that
  • @EonNShadow
I legitimately thought Sailing was a joke and not a real skill that's coming to the game. But the concept and ideas look really solid after this video. I'm sold!
  • @yuyuyu312
Thank you for all the hard work that has gone into refinement! Very excited to see how the rest of development goes!
  • @the-jar
The idea of being able to use using hunter, slayer, and sailing to hunt sea monsters has actually got me more excited about this game than anything else in probably years
