The King of Khaenri'ah | Genshin Impact Theory

Published 2022-05-23
In this video I'll go over Kaeya, Dainsleif, the Black Serpent, Primordial One, Istaroth, the Sustainer, Gold, Aether and Lumine with the main focus being on the king of Khaenri'ah, Istaroth and the Black Serpent. Kaeya's one of the most interesting characters in the lore and if he is the grandson of the King of Khaenri'ah it'd make for some interesting possibilities in the story, especially if his father wants him to inherit the throne or use him to become king himself.

I'm interested to see what you think could be the story behind him or anything else mentioned in the video as even though this is what makes sense to me at the moment, I don't think any of us can fully know what's going to happen in the future with the story. It is fun to try and figure out though!

I hope you enjoy the video.

  • Let me know your favourite theories about Khaenri'ah or anything else mentioned!
  • I feel like Kaeya’s dad is on some 500+ IQ galaxy brain level plan. I feel like he has some huge plan, manipulating things behind the scenes. So even if Kaeya chooses Mond it makes no difference- Kaeya’s father still has his plans.

Kaeyas second talent was originally called “heart of the abyss” and was changed in the update as well

Time to hopium while working my ass for thesis. KAEYA SHEEESSH --- PS : The idea Istaroth takes Kaeya into the future and links with Leyline and stuff is kinda fresh, considering his odd hair looks like a dormant Leyline color. (and the overall tone too!)

Such a great video!! I love the idea if kaeya being the prince of Khaenri'ah, this theory is everywhere
  • @sifuhotdamn
saw kaeya and came fucking FLYING edit: what’s the first music? sounds hella familiar (noo the comment’s not hearted anymore 😭)
  • @Hikari156
I love this theory cuz its interesting and it's not odd at all that he's from there despite still looking mostly human so maybe he really is royalty since Dain and him look more human than the hilichurls do. Oh well we'll just have to wait and see but welcome back and great job on this theory video. Please stay safe everyone

You know what, I can actually see these lining up. We only know just bits and pieces of Khan'erah but what you said may have some worth in that. It could match up why things went wrong for everyone involved and why certain things happened later on. In the end, this was a very good theory video and with the story starting to further expand on Khan'erah more, we should get more info and clues about it soon! Again soild job!
  • @imqueergayasf
Even jean mentions it in her voice-overs (specifically in her hobbies)
  • Little correction, Kaeya's grandfather wasn't the king, in fact his whole clan, the Alberich clan aren't of royal blood but you couldn't have known at the time of creating this theory since this piece of information was an easteregg added during the hidden strife event in 2.8. It is revealed that the Alberich clan while not being royalties ,,stepped in as regents when the strength of the one-eyed king Irmin failed" but yeah that's all I have to say otherwise the theory is pretty solid, and also you said the king is kinda like Odin and you were right, his name was Irmin, again, great theory

It makes alot of sense but there are still some details in the theory that dint add up 1. Like as you mentioned if the king of Khenriah was work with or was possessed by the black serpent ( who you describe as the mother of the 3 fates) surely the people would know if her since the kung named an entire division of the Army after her but the black serpent knights ( royal guard husks from the Chasm) recognised us as the Ally of fate or atleast are some what connected to her from the line "Campaign of that tyrant "fate", the traveler known as Calamity" ( idk why i just this line alot 🤩🤩) If we consider this companion we only can cononically insider two people Lumine or Paimon. so fies that mean one of them is the black serpent or is being controlled by them Also i don't think Karya's and Dain's curse being either infective or slowed down for this long is Isthroth's doing as Dain's says it cannot be cured and his current state of half cursed is due to "IT" I think if consider your theory would be Royal blood Think about it if they're creations from phanes so most likely they have his blood running through them and a royal family of this civilization surely would have the highest purity of said blood Also if Isthroth sent Kaeya in the future why'd she left Dainsleif behind Also whatever killed Makoto and the God of woods was not human that for sure, it could also be that the king was transformed into some awful monster, this is from one of Ei's about lines in which she referred to whatever they were facing even scared the Almighty Shogun as "that thing" There's also the theory that the night mother destroyed khenriah implies that she killed the two gods Also something i just remember from the line from the king ( in the mat description) The king says that everything below the throne (under the control of Celestia, the 7 nations perhaps) would be destroyed by the upheaval So it could be refering to the rebellion against the heavens for which they were punished Does that mean that the cataclysm was meant to disrupt the order of the 7 over teyvat And this makes it even interesting, there's someone else who says not the same words but close enough maybe take it even a step further "Until the abyss has engulfed the thrones my war with destiny will not end" so lumine is taking the so called rebellion from 500 years ago and taking it a step further,? But there's another contradiction that arises here The word "Destiny" can easily be used as a synonym for "fate" which would rule out lumine being this "fate" And then Aether is the companion of this fate so who's is this fate and no Paimon can't be fate as it wouldn't make sense for Lumine to not notice her when they met But then again Paimon is loyal to Lucifer 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 😵😵😵😵😵😵😵😵😵😵

Such a well made video! Tysm for sharing this theory
  • @Ramperdos
Excellent video once again, these are super interesting! I'm not even pretending to understand everything in here as I'm not very learned about the backstory stuff... but that's why I'm here. 5:20 Who is that character?
  • Dayum, your sub count has grown quite well (6k). First time seeing your channel was at like 500 subs
  • @dragonerd5305
Where does everyone get the info of Kaeya and Diluc having fought over Kaeya's revelation? I can't find it anywhere and I'm super curious! :o
