🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

Love how you handle tough discussion around a culture, taking it from culinary pov and just trying to understand the situation and leave audience to make their own opinions about it. Kudos on achieving that fine balance.
  • The Amazon dolphins will never learn how lucky they are. 😂
  • @timwingers
His content is so much better than any of the food shows on TV
  • I love not only how he's trying different things and explaining them but that he asks questions about their cultures and how they navigate and explain concerning questions. For example endangered species, and why they eat them and how things might or might not change.... And why. It's very informative. Being in the United States I have zero clue about their cultures and why they do what they do so it's easy to form an opinion without facts, so I find this very informational and eye opening; not just for my own opinions but the the facts and way of life for locals. Thank you.
  • Sonny & Oro is my favorite together...their chemistry is on point and it's really fun to watch!

Just an educational comment for anyone reading, the egg is not in the intestine, it is in the oviduct, part of the chickens reproductive tract, somewhat comparable would be the mammalian fallopian tubes (but huge differences). In the oviduct the egg white is first formed, then the protein membrane then the egg shell in the shell gland or uterus. The yolk comes from the ovary in the hen. The reproductive tract, urinary tract, and GI tract all empty out of the same hole in the avian body. The intestines are a separate tube that connects to the cloaca.
  • I must say, I’ve watched Sonny for a couple years now and his knowledge of food and culture has increased dramatically over time. You can really see that he is a world traveler now. Awesome work!!
  • @erickcardena8488
Man I love to see all the people working, the variety of food, the colors! Looks so alive. Great place Peru. Much love from Mexico!
  • @gregplays96
I just saw this video while looking for documentaries. Well, I saw it amazing. I really appreciated how you equate the culture difference without mentioning and evaluating their kind of living. It's very educational about how people live depending to the availability of their nature. Hoping to see more about these kind of things around the world. Kuddos!

Its funny when people go to a poor country and then think people care what animals are endangered. A love of animals only goes so far when you or your family are hungry.
  • I love how you take us into your journeys where we probably won't go to. But I think I don't have the stomach even to try some of these foods.
