Cowboy Camping and a Primitive Oven!

Published 2021-03-27
I live offgrid and am working toward living a hunter gatherer lifestyle combined with other bushcraft and homestead lifestyle skills. It's just me, my three dogs, my eight horses, two goats and eleven chickens out here in the sagebrush hills or at my farm property on a creek.
A few years ago I made the decision to finally live the life I'd wanted to live since I was young and these videos are of me learning and practicing the skills needed for that lifestyle. Life is a whole lot better Over on the Wild Side!

  • splendid content Over On The Wild Side. I broke the thumbs up on your video. Always keep up the first-rate work.
  • Fun video! The image and sound quality are great! Your editing is evolving nicely too! You've got a really fun style, whimsical without being cheezy. The nonchalance of a guy who's confident and having fun, and not worrying about trying to be too serious. Thanks for sharing your experiences for those of us who live vicariously from the comfort of civilization!
  • With my luck I would have moved that rock and a rattler would have been under it. LOL That bread look mighty good! Nice video, thanks for sharing. JT

Yehaw, another video Is that cuffed plant death camas? Also, my granddad would have us moving stuff and if it was heavy he would say, "you lift and I'll grunt!" Loved that old man.

  • I’m not the only one that struggles with tarps haha, after a night or so always have to retighten the tarp or adjust, cool man I never thought of making an oven, a fireplace in a shelter would be cool, and I actually never thought of using a frying pan to move fire that’s smart
  • It's always interesting to see how we as people instinctively apply our internal narratives to nature around us. All humans throughout history have done so, I guess. Great video! Cheers!
