I don't support this whole ridiculous idea of "immunity". This sort of upsets the "checks and balance" system that this country was supposed to be founded on ...
  • @jmontign1
Now, a 9 month delay while they debate what constitutes an "official act"
  • Anything related to the election is not an official act. That's why you're not allowed to campaign from the White House or the Capitol. So appealing the outcome in the courts was not an official act. Any rally was not an official act. Arranging for an alternate slate of electors was not an official act. Pressuring the Georgia governor was not an official act. Calling his supporters to action was not an official act.
  • So..was Trump sitting on his hands for 3 hours as the Capitol was sacked an 'Official Act'?
  • @SirWhig-esq.
So now Judge Chutkin now has to decide official and unofficial, the delay continues
  • @TheVir1177
Falsification of document is not an official act. Nobody is above the law.
  • So, what I'm hearing in this ruling is that a current POTUS can, as an official act in accordance with the US Constitution, and laws related thereto, and his oath of office, remove threats to the Constitution (Preserve, Protect, Defend), i.e. remove and jail US Supreme Court Justices, any Federal Judges, even former POTUS for acts against the Constitution without prosecution or repercussions of any kind as a power of his office. Am I understanding this correctly?
  • @abe7478
The USA constitution is crushed 😭
  • @redmed10
Scotus kicking the can down the road as usual. If you say there are official and unofficial acts then surely its your duty to define what is an official or an unofficial act.
  • It's official now. Biden can send in Seal Team Six to protect the country from the MAGA movement 😂
  • @Dani-vk8jf
There was no scenario where the Supreme Court would send the case back to the district court, and then say “we will go by whatever they decide”. that’s insane Jake
  • So a president can break the law anytime they want, as long as they claim they are acting as president. So really once they become president they can govern the way they want and break laws constantly in ways that benefit their personal interest.
  • They need to change the phrase, "no one's above the law" to "no peasants are above the law" or "no one's above the law without immunity privileges"😂
  • @damham5689
Maybe its time for Biden to use this ruling to his advantage ?
  • Soooo… does this brand new ruling become affective today? For the sitting and future Presidents starting now? Or is it a one time trump-specific ruling?
  • 100 % of waste of taxpayers money.. and of time !!! 100 % political
  • @korkalba8658
Remember when the media used to tell us elections have consequences...😆
  • @DHITTZ03
None of the laws he broke were official acts.
  • Corruption corrupt politicians corrupt judges Supreme Court and any Court. They all make me sick!
