When the 9.0 earthquake hits, Seattle should be much more concerned with quake damage than tsunami. This earthquake will be unimaginably devastating, and Seattle is very unprepared for it.
  • I hope it comes soon and cleans that place back up.Seattle was a nice city 25 years ago.
  • This is terrible reporting. The cause of the tsunami is a reverse thrust fault crossing from Seattle across the sound through south Bainbridge and Bremerton. The water displacement comes from one side dropping and the other rising up by many meters, creating a huge drop under the Sound that the water crashes into and then rebounds back out again as waves. It would have served the public better if King5 had shown the actual fault-break portion of the simulation video instead of last year's open pacific ocean Cascadia simulation. Clearly visual appeal was more important than facts or useful information.

It’s remarkable Seattle hasn’t had a major earthquake since 2001!

In 50 years? It’s been 50+ years overdue actually.

We all knew, it’s nothing new. Why try to make a big deal? We also knew we are surrounded by volcanic mountains which can explode any time.

For them to finally Come out to speak Publicly about this is their Way of telling you it’s Gonna Happen Way before the 50 years and to prepare. Because the way they are Speaking, is as if it’s gonna Happen very soon

I guess that's one way to clean up the streets of Seattle.

"I am shocked." Earth: So am I. You all need a new start.
  • 3-6 minutes is enough for a prayer or two... but NOT survival and rescue. 🐲✨🐲✨🐲✨

God showed me dream in 1990 the Seattle, Washington, space needle, St Louis, Missouri skyscraper buildings of both cities was in ocean of water.

I did a lot of research and study about this topic for my senior project earthquake proof houses and earthquake preparedness.

Seattle needs a cleansing anyway. Maybe it can become a great city once again.

Be frightened, be very frightened. Two things stood out in the full news conference, the first being it was held on a pier and she said that if there was an earthquake the water would be ten feet deep right there. If she just walked off the pier she would be in water deeper than ten feet and her preparedness recommendation was to get a radio and a whistle. Neither work under water. Each of those public employees should be reassigned to pick up syringes, feces and garbage from out parks and green spaces. That is a more pressing concern in my mind.
