  • CC was asked if she gets any advice and she said, “ADVICE, NOBODY GIVES ME ADVICE, I WISH!” WTH!! She looked miserable, very sad to see. I think she feels trapped. I wish she was happy like Kate Martin is with her coach/team. Sad situation coming from Fever Management for not stepping in and stopping this shit show from Coach Sides!! CC is on of the best woman shooters/players of all time, she deserves way better than this!!
  • Sides cannot coach. Screens are so bad. Wheeler and Mitchell refuse to pass to CC. That is coaching failure!
  • @garyb.4080
Sides needs to shut up!!!!!!! She gave the best defensive player in the league away, after allowing her to play 16 minutes all season, Sides is brain dead!!!!
  • The statement "Nobody gives me advice in the game, I wish" highlights a lack of coaching and communication. The coach should call timeouts and adjust plays, but instead, they force Caitlin Clark to pass to underperforming players, disrupting her natural flow. Indiana Fever needs an experienced coach to compete effectively.
  • @JE-IC
Those of us who followed Iowa for the last 2 seasons already knew this about Caitlin. Caitlin has repeatedly said in interviews that she is very competitive and wants to WIN. If she doesn't have a coach interfering with her style of play, she'll pass if she thinks her teammate will be able to catch the ball and do something appropriate with it. She'll take the shot if she thinks she can make it. She needs a coach who will bench the people who refuse to pass to her. She needs a coach who will drill screens in practice and bench people who are incompetent at setting them.
  • If you saw the game, then you saw Clark work her way through traffic and on 4 occasions in the 4th quarter she came open and ready to shoot with a quick pass and in all 4 cases 2x Wheeler, 2x Mitchell either made a bad pass into the middle or took a shot . 1 2 point play out of 4 chances to pass to an open Clark. Either their court vision is bad or they just want their own points. The team is not together and that's a function of coaching . Those 4 would have given Clark 13 shots, probably made at least 2 of them. Holding her head with both hands like wtf after one wasn't passed to her was all I needed to see to know she's beyond frustrated. Good thing she's a team player or she'd make her dissatisfaction more publicly known.

If a coach or any leader, has to tell half truths, give excuses, and blame players, tells me they are out of their capabilities. Sides is actively holding her back. No one is talking to Caitlin about plays, screens or direction. Caitlin is being hamstringed.

In the midst of this craziness and idiocy, the only sane person is 22 year old Caitlin Clark.
  • CC is trying her best to fit in and work with the team but the team IS not working with her. She dishes to ball to her teammates but they don’t dish it back, the don’t set good screens and the ice her out. I believe CC needs to take over the game and force the teammates to beg her for the ball. I think CC can win without them.

Starting 5 should be Caitlin, Aliyah Boston, Temi Fagbenle, Kelsey Mitchell and Lexie Hull. NaLyssa Smith has been cooked like a salmon in the last two games. She couldn’t handle Angel Reese and the Seattle guards were all over her. The Fever had a chance to draft Skylar Diggins-Smith this past spring, but turned her down. She was the one covering Caitlin like a blanket last night. Also, she can drive to the basket, the bigs don’t intimidate her. She’s married with a child. She was with the Mercury until she tied up with Taurasi, and they had a confrontation on the bench during a game. She later said she didn’t feel like she fit in with the Mercury, the gayest team in the league. She would have been a great teammate for Caitlin, and definitely would throw her the ball. Not getting her on the Fever is another massive coaching error.

They keep saying the fever needs better DEFENSE That['s a lie the just need to make the shots after Caitlin passes them the ball The team is subpar offensive players who miss to many layups and easy shots. Caitlin will not last very much longer she already has been hit in the head so many times she has a rupture eardrum cant hear the players on her right side This league sucks and all they do is make excuses about how they treat Her.
  • @mmm-mt6jk
Caitlin needs to use her clout and send a no kidding message to the Fever owner. The message is simple. Fix this mess now or I'll be leaving.
  • We must be more educated when talking about Caitlyn Clark's lack of shots. As a player and coach I will provide said education. Christie Sides continues to do the wrong things. When asked about Caitlyn's lack of shots she replied Caitlyn needs to take 15 shots a game, instead of saying I need to get Caitlyn 20 shots and I also have to get her 5 to 10 open uncontested shots a game. X's & O's; Christie Sides is not running an offense conducive to getting Caitlyn Clark open looks and many shots. Christie Sides does the same thing with Caitlyn 90% of the time. Caitlyn dribbles the ball up the court and receives a high screen and roll from Aliyah Boston. There are multiple problems with this: Aliyah Boston is not an effective outside shooter. That high screen/pick should be set by the shooting guard or shooting forward. This is predictable and in a professional league where a great deal of the film is watched, teams know they can get the ball out of Caitlyn's hands by committing to the double team and leaving Aliyah Boston as she is not an outside shooter. An offense's main job is to confuse the defense and make it hard to predict what the team is going to do, if you do the same thing over and over again professional coaches and teams are going to figure out how to stop that. Caitlyn should not be setting screens/picks. Once she gives the ball up she should get a back screen headed toward the baseline or corner then picks headed back up to the top of the key providing multiple opportunities for shots. Caitlyn needs a coach who can get her quality shots and her teammates must commit to her being the #1 option. As a point guard I have played in systems with hundreds of plays and systems comprised of motion offenses with no play calls. I preferred the motion offensive systems as there were no play calls so the other team could not predict what we were doing and I never did the same thing. For example I could pass left or right, pick where I passed or away, cut through on the ball side, middle or away, get a backscreen for a layup or to run to the corner etc,. the movement was based on all players knowing offensive team fundamentals, who should get the most shots, where were each persons high percentage areas, where the defense was weak at that time and most importantly no player ever and I mean ever doing the same thing unless the advantage and success was so great noone could stop it! John please utilize this knowledge at your leisure and let's be more educated when pointing out the flaws in Christie Sides coaching and Caitlyns teammates not being told, clearly, that Caitlyn is always the first option and to know when you should be looking for her and when you are in position to succeed in your high percentage areas on the floor. This sounds complicated but trust me for fundamentally sound professional players it is not and is completely instinctive! Arnette Chappelle Brogdon III
  • @DerekLaugann
CAITLIN just took NINE SHOTS! NINE FREAKIN SHOTS !!!! That's how bad the Fever wants her to fail.
  • Celeste Taylor would've helped the defense. Why wasn't that aspect of the game explored deeper. Christie Sides talks about defense, but it never gets any better. The Fever needs a coach with a plan...and an eye to understand talent and how to use it.
  • @MikeDodds
The Fever have had the number one pick in each of the last two WNBA drafts and this is the best product the coaching staff can produce?!?!?! Really??? Sides sucks!!! Fire her sorry butt ASAP!!!
  • @Stiffmeister_
    Hate when she talks 🗑️🗑️🤢
  • I’m not buying Shines words, I’m telling you behind the scenes she is sabotaging this girl. Look at her body language and how tight she is when the reporter ask her anything about Catlin. This coach thinks her team is getting better because She really don’t want Catlin taking shots she wants her to pass the ball.
  • @TalkMMADizz
To my understanding, a couple of weeks ago fever owner Herb Simon had lunch with Lisa Bluder. Very interested in what transpired during that meeting.
