  • Please Please PLEASE add a metal mesh guard around the cockpit. If one of those propeller blades break during flight it could absolutely take your life. Another YouTuber tragically died in a self made helicopter when one of the rotor blades snapped off and struck him. Please be safe šŸ™šŸ½

What a cool build! ;) Engineering and design, flight, innovation and most of all a lot of testing/tweaking! All things we love here at Flite Test and we hope you can continue to build and operate this safely and bring your dream to reality Alan! Good luck!
  • I am the athletic equipment attendant at Diamond bar high school. Where Alan went to school. I remember having conversations with Alan about this drone project. And now itā€™s reaching completion. Wow! Iā€™m very excited for you. Youā€™ve made your family and all of us at Diamond bar high school very proud.

Your dad Is THE MAN! Kudos to him for coming through like that. What a hero šŸŽ‰
  • I thought I knew "cool". This is next level. Go get 'em, kid! Let me know if you need a 250lbs test pilot for your next stress test.

It sounds like your father is a silent hero in this story. Congrats on the amazing project and respect to your dad for his part too. Looking forward to future iterations.

That's an insane amount of work. I thoroughly enjoyed the video. I am definitely signed up for part II. Thank you!

You will go far in life. This appears to be a design that could easily be the future of personal air transportation. Iā€™m cheering for you and your respect and acknowledgement for those who are helping you is admirable. Your family should be very proud.
  • @IdeationGeek
I love the process, the time-lapses, the lighting, the music and the fact you're sharing it, with friends and publicly. Go forward~
  • @WeylandLabs
I really enjoyed this video ! I'm not in engineering nor aviation, but I can appreciate the amount of failure you will endure as a team to eventually lead to your success. What your encountering right now you may not know it yet, but in 20 years you'll look back at this and smile and understand that this was the best time of your life. I'm very happy for you and your future.

Truly AMAZING and such an Inspiration. Your family is also incredible, what a wonderful Dad, to be so involved and enthusiastic... #MyHerosā¤ā¤

I love how youā€™re following your dreamsšŸ’•Keep up the good work my man
  • Itā€™s inspiring to see you valued your parents and others who contributed to your inspiration. No one succeed without someone tightening his shoestrings. Carnegie inscribed on his tombstone: ā€œHere lies a Man who Knew How to Enlist in his Service Better Men than Himselfā€. Please, let your best invention be keeping the pilot safe. Failure is inevitable, but dying is definitely avoidable. You will go far young man. Best wishes.

Your generation is gonna do great things. All the STEM , 3D printers in grade school, and immersive digital training is paying off. The closest thing I had to the internet was a set of 1898 encyclopedias.

Oh Hell Yes!! New subscriber here. Thank you for keeping the true spirit of engineering alive!! And using all of the "affordable" resources out there to do it. With a single vision, and no corporate nannys , or HR departments that stifle thought and creativity. I cant wait to see this thing in flight!
  • @Magoo71
I admire your drive, intelligence and dedication to your desires of building a custom eVTOL! Can't wait to watch more between now and Lift off!
  • @michaelyurov4782
Your perseverance is incredible, at least I certainly admire it. I love engineering and though I've bult plenty of drones and contraptions in my life, tackling a project like this seems insurmountable, and yet here you are doing it. I have ADHD, making and keeping connections is hard for me, and the more I look the more it seems connections is what gets you the farthest in anything. I respect your ability to reach out to right people with the right resources to make your goals happen. I've only just seen this video, but I think I really look up to you for that. I really hope that one day I'll have what it takes, the bravery or the focus or whatever, to pull off a project just like this.

11 minutes of my life that I wonā€™t get back and you didnā€™t fly? WHAT a build up to excitement and then drop off a cliff.
  • My wife and I really enjoyed this video and I shared the link on my Facebook newsfeed! Thank you and God bless! ā¤šŸ˜Š
