I did my surgery in December 2022 I was 303lbs on the morning of surgery. I am now 268 2 months later
  • The goal of having surgery should be to lose 100% of excess weight.

Thank you for this video I am 6 weeks post op and was worried about my 20 lbs weight loss but I also realized this is 22% of my excess weight so I’m ok. I gotta kick it up a notch with my exercise 😊
  • Im currently going through all my tests so I can have the sleeve done. Im excited but nervous at the same time.

Soon 3,5 months postop, did gastric bypass. Have lost 26 kg totally and now have a bmi that is 28.7 instead of over 38. Main reason for my surgery was my bad sleep apnea and high blood preassure. My blood preassure is now normal, but still too early to know how it goes with my sleep apnea. My wish is be good enough so I don't need a cpap machine. I feel much better in my body and it have changed a lot. Just had a 3 months stall for almost a week, but yesterday the scale moved down again. So don't be afraid if you get stall. Check messaurments instead! If they change it's just a normal phase after surgery. And remember, it's not a quick fix. Right now I have a weight I haven't had since around 2000, so I am happy!

All of these surgeries are meant to be used as TOOLS . Not a miracle fix. It still takes mental strength and self determination to follow the Dr plan, and lose the rest of the weight on your own. Use the Tool, but don’t mistake the tool for the final project … it takes work and the willingness to change our lifestyles, this is an jump start, not a fix all. Well wishes of success and good health to all ❤

Hi Dr I had my RNY 2 weeks ago I was 212 bmi 38 just wondered if I have a good chance of getting to a normal weight thanks
  • Very informative, thank you. How long do you have to be on the diet before the procedure???

My Husband is 6'2" and he has been prepping to have surgery with a physician. He currently weighs 289 and has been losing about a pound a week on his own in preparation for surgery whenever the insurance company approves him. The doctor recommended VSG but I was thinking the switch would be a better option. Should we get a second opinion with another provider?
