This game is one of those games you hold close to your heart in a very special place

A Short Hike is the only game I can remember that made me smile the whole time I played it.

So wholesome... I played this game exclusively at midnight in bed with the lights all off. Highly recommend ya'll, adds to the quiet cozy experience...

The writing in this game was already enough for me to buy it, and the wonderful music caught me completely off guard. An incredibly beautiful and memorable experience

A Short Hike makes me incredibly happy, I picked up the game on steam because I saw somebody talk about it online, I was not dissapointed. The soundtrack, The graphics, the characters, everything about the game makes me feel warm and happy.

Music makes the game 10 times better

I played this game January 1st of 2021, And I'm going to play it January 1st of every year I possibly can.

This game and its soundtrack are truly special

[spoilers] I love this game to bits. My heart sank when I finally went back inside the cabin to nap. The credits rolled and I closed the game knowing it's over. 13 hours of gameplay later, and I've discovered pretty much everything there is to discover, enjoyed every conversation there is to enjoy. The music is one of the most memorable indie game soundtracks for me. I find myself humming the main theme while cleaning the house, knowing that somewhere, out there, on an island far far away... ...a worried camper finally got back their lost permit, ...an artist finally became proud of their work, ...a college student can finally pay off their debt, ...and a lovely little bird finally got to greet her mother hello. Though, a certain orange fox is taking an awfully long time emailing that photo of her atop the mountain, haha! No worries, Hawk Peak isn't known for it's reception, that's for sure. This game left a little void in my heart. But I'm glad knowing these experiences will stay with me forever. Time to wipe my tears, and move onward!

This game is unforgettable. For something called "Short", it's amazing. Man, "Snow, Lots of Snow" is one of my favorite game soundtracks OF ALL TIME, and this is coming from a guy with lots of experience.

I love how something described as short ends up being unforgettable and inevitably staying with you forever. it feels dramatic to say that but it really is a great game!
