  • Thank you. I own a small 10 unit complex that was mis managed for 36 years. My dad built it 42 years ago and it was neglected so badly and rents never ever raised so tenants have stayed there for decades. I am dealing with an uphill battle trying to appropriately raising rents within the law. 4 of my tenants are only paying 985 after two rent raises the last two years. Market rate for these units is 2550.00 I am feeling defeated. They all KNOW that they have banked away thousands and thousands and thousands away because of this. They complain about a 10 percent increase in spite of these facts.
