Eufy 2K Video Doorbell Long Term Review!

I installed the doorbell and was so pleased that I installed two outside cameras with solar panel. My house had a doorbell so hot wired. Best feature is being able to check while I am in another state with no fees.

This is the second home in which youtube.com/post/Ugkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNl… we've replaced our "regular" doorbell with a Ring video doorbell and we really enjoy it. It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).

I wonder if I can run a long usb cable to it and change this up when it's dry and you can get a solar panel for it or could get a plug to wire it in.

Is it better to use it with the Eufy chime or with the homebase, as I see two options? Which is louder and has more reliable connectivity?

I'm currently on my 2nd ring doorbell in 2 1/2 years and it's already needing to be recharged weekly and doesn't even charge to 100% anymore so I'm thinking it's time to move on. I have the eufy smart lock so I figured pairing it with this might be good. Just can't decide if the 2k doorbell ($139) is worth the extra money over the 1080p ($85)

Hi. Maybe stupid question but when somebody rings the bell obviously there is a sound and is it possible to change it? I am asking because on my estate everyone have ring doorbell and it seems it has one sound and its so annoying 🙄 so I wonder if Eufy are changeable

Are you saying the Homebase 2 will chime on motion alerts? If so how do i set that up? I only get chimes on my iphone.

Good vid mate 👌 Have you ever used a second chime? I need 2 chimes in different rooms. Can you connect another chime? I don't see any info on this online 😵‍💫

hi Ive just purchased a used one of these, can you please tell me have you had the notification randomly not working. mine does and I have to restart my phone to give me notifications when the door bell rings.

Thanks for the informative review. When the doorbell is pressed do you get a distinctive "ding-dong" sound on your mobile (iPhone) or just a standard notification? I have the current model doorbell and I only get a standard notification and so miss pretty much every bell press.  My mate has a Ring doorbell and when its pressed he gets a clear and distinctive "ding-dong" on his phone. Albeit he pays a subscription it appears the better system?

I’ve recently noticed my motion sensor just isn’t picking up like it used to. Is this something you’ve run into? If so how did you rectify this?

Nice review with some helpful tips. I do wish it had a removable battery like Arlo in case the battery starts to wear out so you can just replace the battery and not the entire unit.

What tablet works best with the app? I would rather NOT use the app on my personal cell phone when I need to use Eufy for work-related reasons. Any recommendations would be helpful. I just want to use a tablet that does not require adding and paying for an additional line that will increase my cell phone bill. I just want to purchase a tablet that I can connect to my employers wifi just to use the Eufy app when I need to monitor the front entrance of my job and/or see who is at the front entrance before I let anyone in the front door.

I currently have an original Ring doorbell, the lense fogged after 18 months and I need to charge it about once every two months.

Had mine for a year now and.......for a doorbell cam......its great! Battery life is great, quality is great, price is great......it's great!
