Hey everyone! I hope you’re having a flare-free day!

In todays video, I wanted to dive into kidney and ureter endometriosis. Endometriosis is a full body systemic inflammatory disease that has impacted every single organ in the human body. We often view endo as a “reproductive disease” or a “period disease” when it’s way more than that.

This video talks about all things kidney and ureter endo, what some symptoms are, how it’s diagnosed, and everything in between.

Huge shoutout to the following resources where I found the majority of this information. Feel free to share your journey with kidney / ureter endo in the comments down below!

My endo caused my ureter to be adhered to my pelvic wall. I'm so incredibly grateful that i found a great surgeon and i credit him for saving my right kidney.

I had surgery for endometriosis 40 years ago, after 6 months I was pregnant and I had 2 daughters in a period of 3 years. Never again had issues or pain the only problem is my incontinence had many test but they never mention that could be due to the endometriosis, but I will talk to my doctor about it. Thank you so much for informing us about it.

this made me cry, thank you so much for posting.. you put a lot into perspective of the symptoms I've been experiencing with my endometriosis diagnosis I received recently, I can't believe my doctor never told me this information and it's really disappointing that there's such a lack of education out there, God bless you
  • thankyou so much for talking about the fact that it doesnt just effect the gynaecological organs! as someone who had bowel and had to have kidney surgery because of endo and adenomyosis im so glad someone is actually raising the awareness!

My daughter has had trouble with her liver since she was young all from overload of hormones.

I am almost certain that I have this. I have left sided kidney/flank pain on my back on day 21 (always day 21, when it happens) of my cycle and have been experiencing this since 2011 or so. It does not happen every month and has been doing better since I have been eating ketogenic, but last month it came back with a vengeance. :( I have been to the ER so many times.

Hi I have an appointment with an endo specialist in May as whenever I’m due on or on my period I suffer with the worst kidney pain, my bladder also get a really bad a week before I’m due and again while I’m on, I’ve been waiting since 2021 for this appointment, I was seen before and diagnosed with Adenomyosis but they wouldn’t check for endo unless I had a hysterectomy but because this kidney pain has got so bad my GP referred me back, is this a typical symptom of kidney or bladder endo, I have always had a bad bladder since a child and I had regular Botox injections in my bladder under a urologist
