Infrastructure, interior design, furniture to alag cheezein hain. But I really wonder why can't Indian institutions have the symmetry and allignment of streets, footpaths and lawns like American universities have? Usme kaun sa extreme kharch aane wala hai? It just requires proper planning. Look how neatly every walkway and every green area is designed and constructed, allowing maximum utilization of every inch of space! Aisa lagta hai kisi ne CityVille video game mein scale se measure karke banaya ho. Naam ke liye ye saari cheezein toh aapko IITs and IIMs mein bhi milengi but they are so poorly planned and built, that they don't just look ugly, but also a lot of space gets wasted becase it's not practical to utilise them! Indian planners really need to learn from these universities.
