The single worst moment of my entire life is recorded somewhere as a 911 call. There are no words to describe what I'd do if I found someone using it to pad out some trashy horror game.

anyone that uses a real 911 call for such exploitative bullshit automatically loses all potential goodwill, and thats not even mentioning everything else. just releasing stray souls in the state it was in is enough to make me lose all respect for this "dev", but on top of everything else? what a complete tool.

Ooh boy, I would not want to be Artur's lawyer when the bit about the 9/11 call came out. Juries tend to take that kind of thing as negative, since they're almost certainly not the kind of forum dweller who sees no problem using a real one and not a re-enactment.

Using real 911 calls reminds me of that movie trailer that used the Beirut explosion, except there they maybe have the excuse of it just being laziness instead of malice. In this case, though, if they really did have voice actors do a recreation and still went with the original call, even the lowest bar of possible laziness is no defense. That's just a poor sense of ethics, one that seemingly hasn't improved.

between stray souls and yandere simulator, it seems like Unwanted Emails are responsible for more bad games made by bad people than we'll ever know. if it wasnt for the emails they would have behaved normally and also made the game good
