Displacement amplifies existing inequalities, including gender inequality. With the climate crisis acting as an additional vulnerability multiplier, more and more people are likely to be on the move in the future.

While women face heightened risk and vulnerability in circumstances of displacement, they are also important agents of change working towards a more sustainable, peaceful and world. Our policies have to reflect that, recognising women as the leaders and experts they are.
