You made me laugh so hard when you took out your brain stimulation bracelet. Seriously though, your breadth and width of knowledge in foundations of mathematics physics logic and philosophy, now neural science, just impressed the heck of me. We need to replace empty media personalities with smart people like you.
  • I like Haier's open minded attitude with informative knowledge. Nice interview.
  • Thank you so much for interviewing Dr. Haier. After hearing him with Jordan Peterson I was wishing there were more in depth interviews about this subject.
  • I might be wrong! Please point out if I am wrong! IQ questions: 2 Dark triangle Smallest triangle, containing four items of the same colour
  • god bless you for providing timestamps! I really wish this was common place already.
  • The interviewee is quite a 'I report ONLY what data says' guy. Fair enough.

Hey my new fav podcast just released a new (awesome) episode. Thanks for your rigorous inquiry and happy Friday✨

again a great video, I m really taking this like sugar, so I m careful with not abusing all of them. you've become my favorit channel so far. please keep the great work !

GOLDen interview! TY for that awesome guest, that's exactly questions that I was looking for
  • Wonderful interview open up many topics. Gives good understanding of a thing. Most of all dismiss damaging factors like cognitive games. It's good to know that studies under go on this is one of the most important topic for humans ever. Keep it up guys for science.
  • Excellent interview. Keep up the awesome work with providing content like this and other topics.
  • When I started watching this interview, and within first minute sensed it is worth watching, I was filled anxiety and dread-there a lot in my playlist already-I have already cut down on lot of activities; and these conversations are not easy for me-they are somewhere between weekly to monthly assignments. However, within first 10 minute of this interview hit me like unexpected lightening bolt something changed radically within me. And it is not related to his theories or intellectual concept he was discussing; it is just his mentioning how he deals with those concepts. I heard and read so much about thought control or how to deal with thoughts. RIchard does not talk about that; but in those 10 minutes he reveals how a sensible person should deal with thoughts by example (here thoughts being his theories or hypotheses)-his humility and totally unburdened ego somehow taught me something which no amount of intellectual understanding or commanding by any Guru could have done; and this learning is of a different kind.

Flynn effect: maybe people just got used to more abstract questions being asked, whereas in the past they handled more practical questions. And there are also more examples of IQ test question floating around in the media (the classic online IQ tests popping up regularly). Practicing some of those matrix or number-sequence questions makes the user pick up a solution approach quicker.
  • great great guy proper scientist, talks like a scientist. thank you for making high quality information available. You're impoving the world with this content
  • wtf... I paused the video to figure out the iq test question, and now I dont see any solution? whats the correct answer???
  • Very interesting vid, but I wished interviewer has asked about the generally neglected topic of IQ differences between social classes.
  • What an interesting guy. Thanks for asking about AI. That's what interested me most when I tuned in.
  • Great interview. Curt. There's a problem with Haier's belief that genes is the correct answer to closing the IQ gaps. The problem is that as soon as we begin to know and understand the physical and biological causes of IQ, there is no reason to think that the people with the highest IQs will forego this knowledge and allow the lowest-IQ people to benefit from it. To the contrary, there's every reason to believe that the IQ gaps will widen -- and probably exponentially so. Thanks for these interesting interviews.
