Royals in Scotland: King Charles Attends Ceremony of the Keys in Edinburgh

King Charles attended the Ceremony of the Keys at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh on Tuesday to mark the city's 900th anniversary.

The King and Queen are in the Scottish capital for two days where the King is set to present awards at an investiture ceremony and the Queen will host a reception for bookshop owners, writers and literary organisations.

    I love the fact that the Royal Mace, which is the symbol of the Monarch, is turned upside down to indicate the actual presence of the Monarch.
