In this video I present 5 reasons why Fujifilm x10 is a better match for me than Fujifilm x100v. I shoot with both cameras and both of them are great but I feel more creative and connected with this retro point and shoot. If I have to choose one the x10 would be my choice and I want to tell you why.

Nice review. We've got the x20, and still love it after all these years (and it's also been to Oslo for a holiday, all the way from Southern Africa).
  • TheX10 does it all, stills, video, panorama, film simulation. The best feature is the 28-112 zoom — very compact. The. 100 V has a fixed lens. You can focus the X10 down to 1”. I use it with a R72 opaque filter to take infrared pictures handheld. Picture quality is excellent.

Another great video Tommy. I have reduced my collection of cameras down to three Fuji’s. The X-T1, X100T and my trusty old X10, which is still at the top of the pile and my all time favourite camera, An outstanding camera that has been with me since 2012. Second best is the X100T which has incredible colours, then the X-T1, same sensor as X10T. Keep the great vids coming man ❤

Another enjoyable video Tommy. I’ve had an X10 for many years, your videos always make me appreciate it more and marvel at my own foresight many years ago 😊

I love my X10..i bought it second hand..in 2022..send it to Fuji Europe in Kleve..they replaced the lens- unit ( had to come from Tokyo)! It has no scratches..and feels like a new camera!

I agree with every word. I recently switched to a better fuji camera when you bought your X100V, but do not have the same love for it (yet) as I did with the X10. Also, I took many, many more photos with the X10 than I do with my new camera because the X10 is just so versatile and easy to use. I'm going to be patient for the moment, and hope I get that same love that I had for the X10. By the way, this is a great video. Keep up the good work.

I've never used an x10, I still have an X20 (since new). I agree with all the positives you list, that's my experience too. But I thought I'd add a few negatives also. The RAW files are a nusance to handle because they only open in Fuji software. I agree the JPEGs are great but they tend to be over processed and details can be blurred. While the lens is fast, the chip is only 2/3rds which makes narrow depth of field shots more of an issue. I wouldn't use anything above 400 ISO....though I have found that low light photography isn't as bad as you might expect given the camera's technical limits. Battery life is an issue, but carry spares! The x20 is a joy to use, is still my EDC camera of choice, though I do sometimes find myself wishing I'd carried my pro camera kit instead....but then I'm a bit spoilt with that and its not fair to comare the x20 to pro FX gear that's only a year or so old! To put things in perspective, I've sold and switched out my other gear, I've kept the X20 and don't intend to sell it!

The photos you share in your videos are really nice... do you ever use EXR mode? Otherwise, do you have any recipes to share or is it the final editing that give them pizzaz? Maybe you have a video on that which I haven't seem...will look for sure....

Thinking of buying this camera with my first paycheck to start with photography as a new hobby!
  • I'm an X30 user and the image quality definitely punches above its weight class. This series from Fuji is so underrated. People get caught up in sensor size and megapixels, but these cameras have sweet spot that makes it good.

    love my x10 alongside my x-t2 & x-t5 happy photography :)
  • I haven’t tried the x10 yet but I think I would agree with you 😁 I recently got the x100v and I’m not wowed by it like I thought I would be and I’m going to be returning it (not just because of that reason but also the flip screen rattles). I always think about how a Canon point and shoot camera I used in college (all the way back in 2006 😅😂) took better photos than a lot of the point and shoot cameras nowadays 😅 Thanks for all your amazing videos 😍
  • Thank you for that new video Tommy. I don‘t know what it makes so good. Maybe the feeling that you shot a great picture with an outdatet camera? I will try to simulate the look from the X10 on my x-Pro 3 when I am back from vacation.

Hello Tommy, a very good video that I can fully endorse. I also own several other Fujifilm cameras such as the X-T1, X-T3, X-E2, X-E3 and a not inconsiderable number of Fujinon lenses. But when I look at which cameras I take most of my photos with and which cameras always end up in my bag, it's the X10 or the X30. Many greetings to Oslo from the Rhineland near Düsseldorf / Germany

Reminds me of the feeling I get when I use my Ricoh grd iv. The images have so much character. For an old camera - I could never sell it
  • @janbroekema
Big head taco (BHT) on his YouTube channel asked Makoto Oishi ( head of Fuji GFX planning) what is your favoriet old Fuji camera? "it's the Fuji X10...Thomas from square hood...also the X10!

The early models are the best Fuji Film camera's Still shooting My XT2 but still miss my Xt1. I t shot such sweeter images, IMO.
  • @alex.muntean
What do you think about the X10 vs the X20 or X30? Thanks.
