Keefer Falls is just outside of Owen Sound, Ontario. This is another of the many waterfalls of the Niagara Escarpment. The trail to the falls is, or was, an official snowmobile trail, but the waterfall is on private property.

Keefer is a great place to visit and there is a good chance you will have it to yourself, It wasn’t until researching after my visit that I found out that Keefer Falls was indeed on private property. Whether that was a recent occurrence or not, I don’t know.

Keefer Falls is a 25′ waterfall that was once the site of something called Slattery Mills Falls, just to the right of the brink there are the remnants of an old dam and some old stone walls.
If you do wish to visit Keefer falls, please remember that it is on private property and while accessing the waterfall is easy and well marked, it is not on public land.

I'm surprised you didnt get stuck & come out of that muddy walk barefoot. I see you met up with Kermit briefly. I really enjoyed getting a look at that spot. Another great waterfall adventure. I want to go behind the fall. I think this is my new favorite freaktography waterfall shoot to date FOR SURE.

Can anyone tell me if Keefer Falls was ever called Forgotten Falls ? My dad grew up in Owen Sound, and used to telll us how he and his brother used to hike there. It seems to fit the same geographic description. I WOULD really appreciate any information - Thank you.
