Giannis is tremendous, but what impresses the most is Greece's passing game. They're ready.

7:19 Giannis Got slapped in his arms and he continued laying up the ball like nothing hit him... HE IS HELLA STRONG
  • Offense aside, this Greek team has a huge defensive potential. Giannis, Calathes, Walkup, Laretzakis are elite defenders.

Greece is more than just Giannis. They have many good players
  • This Greek team, with that roster and that coach and the way they're playing, has seriously become a contender for a medal, imo. I really think they can be dangerous for any team at the Olympics.
  • Thank you Luka for your way of playing and your character. You are and always be a friend in Greece and you will always get a standing ovation.
  • very strong defence, elite passing and a hungry Giannis. Not many teams can damage this Greek team.

With coach Spanoulis, this roster and at a home court this game was lost for Slovinia before even started... The only question was the difference.

Imagine if we also had 3 of the Euroleague champions as well that are injured. Sloukas, Papapetrou and Kostas Antetokoumpo
  • A Grecia no le gana nadie, qué tremendo equipo, los puntos de tres los lanzan del medio de la cancha bromeando.🙌🏽🥇

Greece did amazing at the OQT even without Sloukas (who was pretty much the MVP is Euroleague and Greek league), Papapetrou-Thanasis (the 2 usual forwards for the national team) and the other brother of Giannis, Kostas, got injured in the tournament leaving Greece with just 1 center, the tall but soft Papagiannis. Still Greece defeated all teams with relative ease.

Proud to watch my motherland put together a heck of a basketball team. Beautiful, crisp passing, selflessness, and not wasting time with foolishness will always win you games. Go Greece!
