Atriox's line of "As I suspected.... nothing but a man" Is about how spartans are regarded as "Demons" on the battlefield and master chief THE demon, they are talked as if they are not human because they see humanity as weak. This line is saying that there are no demons, only men, nothing to fear. So much badass in so few words, I LOVE IT

The reason Isabel is unprofessional is because she's not exactly a military AI. Sure she might be UNSC, But she's a logistics unit not a combat unit. It would be like a civilian contractor in a combat zone. Between that, her PTSD and Survivors guilt, it's amazing how well she's holding it together. I do really like this game's storytelling.
  • Blur Studios did such an amazing job on these cinematics. They're breath taking and the sheer quality makes me want to watch them over and over again!
  • @Revan_Reborn
one of the most morale dropping sentences a UNSC Marine can hear "We have a Spartan Casualty." 7:40.
  • @jollyroger195
This games cinematics alone, made me fall in love with the Brutes. They went from funny angry space monkey to actually cool characters.
  • @yommers
This was a great watch. I'm a total Halo nut but never played either of the Halo Wars. This made me want to. It's such a shame we never got the Neill Blomkamp movie. The franchise deserves so much better than the garbage TV show.
  • @Advima
For what it's worth, there's a small expansion campaign for HW 2 called Awakening the Nightmare that also have some really good looking cinematics, probably worth a look as well. :)
  • @terrivel11
I would have loved if the Halo TV series were written and animated like this. Itā€™s just enthralling.
  • Jerome is my favorite Spartan in Halo. He seen as one of the best leaders by the end of the program, despite trying to escape multiple times, and even being a washout during the augmentations process.
  • @Peckh
I will always see the spirit of fire as the absolute coolest and best depiction of the UNSC. Even down to the name of their ship representing what they all stood for Outgunned, outnumbered and borderline crippled, yet they represent some of the best fighters the UNSC has to offer. Refusing to give up and fighting with their backs to a wall.
  • @TCRP117
If you havenā€™t seen them already then Iā€™d recommend the Halo 2 Anniversary cutscenes. Complete remakes of the original in game cutscenes, by Blur studios. Phenomenal stuff.
  • @Drakefance5
Oh Hey, didn't expect some HW2, easily some of the best cinematics within halo,
  • @SimonPetrikov12
The weight you feel of Douglas's helmet hitting the ground in the Atriox fight is an amazing detail.
  • @ricodee3188
The last cutscene of the battle on the replacement ring was one of the most badass sequences Iā€™ve seen. The dramatic music absence, the raw battle footage and Jerome jumping off the warthog was pure badassary!!
  • @SolWake
Wow, really blown away by the quality of these cinematics! They really went hard for a game that seemed like a somewhat less prestigious spin-off. Went to look at the studio that made them and of course, it was none other than Blur Studio. Now you can see some of the same cinematic DNA in pacing, animation, and cinematography from their other famous trailers like SWTOR.
  • @Wernissage
I absolutely loved this. Blurā€™s cutscenes never miss, and Halo Wars 2 might be their best work yet. Being a huge fan of the art of Halo, the cinematography has always left an impression on me too. And hearing your analysis of it told me just why I love it so much. Canā€™t wait for more Halo content!
  • @HaloVFX
Love seeing someone love the cutscenes and saying how cool it'd be to see an entire movie from blur for Halo, it'd be absolutely INSANE.
  • @pwalmsley9
It's a shame the Halo TV Series didn't get anywhere close to this level of cinematography, despite being made so many years later.
  • @Matchstick11112
one of the best parts that wasnt shown, in game there is some dialogue where jerome finds out master chief is still alive and says something along the lines of, im glad john is still out there showing that even though he's been gone so long he still has fond memories of his fellow spartans and misses them.
