Happy 4th friends. Anyone else hunkering down with their dogs like us? Kobe doesn't do well with fireworks 💥🐶😳

I think he is absolutely missed by someone...the little paw lift is a habit from being scooped up and carried and he melts right into the carry position. He was/is someone's world.

That dog's ears are the among the best I have ever seen. If I was near this shelter I would not be able to resist.
  • I call all dogs puppies. No matter their age or size they're puppies in my eyes ❤

i don’t have words to express how much i want to look after that little dog.

He is so sweet. He's clearly scared but friendly. he is cute. Poor boy he is so hungry
  • @kdcbattlecreek
He's been with people. So alert. And likes the treats more than the food.

Anybody that calls that little guy a "rat" doesn't know what a stud looks like :-) He's going to do great things. I usually avoid small dogs cuz of the potential biting & gravitate towards large sporting dogs with big ears and long noses. I believe this boy could hold his own.

Lmao the way he keeps trying to steal the whole treat stick! What a cutie

Where I used to live a stray Chi showed up. It took me weeks to catch it, as it was so scared. No collar, no chip, not claimed. I got her cleaned up, healthy and happy and she was adopted out and has been living a good life ever since. There was another little stray Chi I rescued off a busy street where he was in danger of being run over while trying to eat some food trash. He was very fearful and trying to threaten and bite me, til I had him in my car, and then he melted and just wanted to be cuddled. He also got cleaned up, fostered and adopted.

O my goodness what a precious baby. I’ve had chihuahuas all my 62 years. I love them.

How wonderful he was reunited with his family. I hope he’s happy and loved.

Big dogs, small dogs...they're all dogs. Thank you for loving them all!
  • @TheMunchyelena
He looks like he could fly away with those huge, cute ears

Chihuahua's have the biggest personality and are one of the most affectionate breeds. What a good boy. 😍

They all look so sad. Glad you go and cheer them up. This baby wants to go home.

15 years ago, I rescued a 2-year-old Chihuahua mix. He was a little sack of bones, with all his ribs, hip bones, shoulder blades showing. His name was Peanut. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge around Memorial Day. He was about 5 weeks shy of his 17th birthday. He was a great companion for my elderly husband until he passed in 2020. And the next 4 years, he was my buddy even though he missed his "daddy" a lot. If you have a chance to name a little dog Peanut, it is a great name for a special little guy.
  • How sweet. He stops shaking while you r next to him. 🙏🙏🙏
