Perfect to get non-player friends involved.

As someone who has never played any TTRPG outside of half of a dozen D&D sessions, this REALLY made me want to play this game!!!
  • Had a house rule that when a character went insane, the keeper would roll a dice in secret. Even numbers meant you sit and drool doing nothing. Odd numbers meant the keeper controlled you for that turn/session. Roll again, 1 and 2 something useful (a clue to winning, etc), 3 and 4 something indirectly bad (open a door that shouldn't be open, etc), 5 and 6 attack a friendly. 14.48 that shadow on the far right is very CoC.

Always ask for a Sanity roll before describing what is causing the need for one... it always freaks out the players more, because they have no idea what they have just stumbled onto! :)

I am so looking forward to more of this from you. Before I saw the Stream Of Blood games, I had heard terrible things about the game's complexity, but it's really not that difficult to get your head around.
  • This is a fantastic break down, thank you for making it! I can't wait to get playing.

After reading a lot to prep for a 1 shot, this video is incredibly helpful, and wildly informative. Great script.

Thanks much! I haven't yet gotten the 7e rules, and having a clue how it works really helps. Love the Calyx videos I've seen thus far.
  • Thank you for this vid! This helped me decide to start delving into this game.

The Professor holding his Thompson fails his sanity role and thinks all of his party members are Cthulhu minions!

I feel like you put a lot of work into producing this video and it shows, liked it.
  • @GRWelsh7
Good summary for new players who haven't read the rules yet, or for those who need a refresher. Well done.
