  • Subscription services for mice? There's a special in hell for these degenerate corporate overlords.
  • @JohnThunder
'Intel is pissing in the lake' sums up Intel's situation.
  • @NeptuneSega
Dodged a bullet when I decided to buy 12th gen i7 12700f. Next CPU will be AMD even if the problems are fixed because the way this mess is being handled.
  • @Paul_Sleeping
Speaking of August, we have less than 5 months of 2024 left. Where has the time gone...
  • @POLARTTYRTM
Paul, please, never stop or go easy with your snarky, witty humor. It's just too good and what makes you stand out.
  • The year is 2024 and Logitech is considering making what is essentially ransomware that prevents you from using your mouse if you don't cough up the money. Nice.
  • Y'all are missing the point. It's not only that the processor is defective, or that broken chips don't get better after the patch. Nope, their real problem will be the increasing likelihood that Intel knew in advance there was a problem and continued to sell the defective product and blame the consumer. The ability to prove to a court that Intel did a cover up means in addition to a recall they will be liable for damages and fines. Lawyers are rejoicing everywhere!
  • @bes12000
Intel sitting at $21.59 per share and dropping and has actually gone DOWN 54% in the last 5 years and AMD is like "hold my beer" with $132.68 per share, and AMD has gone UP 358% in the last 5 years. That should tell everyone something. It's crazy how AMD went from underdog to top dog with CPU's.
  • @wildwilco
2 broken generations of CPUs... unwilling to issue a full CPU + MOBO recall, unwilling to admit fault, blaming others for their own mistake. the software/firmware update will NOT fix the issues, and it will NOT fix degraded CPUs. even more so, if the CPUs are downclocked to prevent more issues, you wont get the performance you paid for. this was my last intel CPU EVER.
  • @okrajoe
Boeing and Intel pursuing the same disastrous strategy...
  • @Jeffcrocodile
Someone needs to force Intel to do a recall, it's just unreasonable for a company to sell know defected products and get away with it.
  • @planespeaking
Companies want to make everything subscription and no real ownership
  • @pazitor
Intel's delay in getting into the GPU space has proven fatal, along with the hubris of dominating with Core2 for too long.
  • Intel is certainly screwed. And there are still twitter trolls blamming GN for intels woes. Fanboys gonna fanboy for billion dollar company.
  • @rgracon
The comparison of a forever mouse to a high-end watch is asinine. A Rolex is a one time purchase that does not need updates, and does not have a monthly subscription. Further, it’s mostly a status symbol, not a performance item that will typically not be seen by others. Just highlights how out of touch they are, and what a terrible product idea it is.
  • @SanderE39
You know you have watched a lot of Pauls Hardware Tech News when your kids start singing along to the opening credits while they are just playing in the house...
  • @fintux
If you do business with a company that has a record of shady business practices, who has screwed over its partners and customers (and has the court rulings of those, too), what makes you think you're safe from their shady practices? That is why I have not bought Intel products for the past 10 years.
  • @scipher99
OMG the sweaty ballsack chair killed me lol.
