Twisters are a powerful force to recon with, and so is DeleteMe.

Ionic thrust presents an opportunity to investigate alternative forms of propulsion, as well as a more accurate method to form a vortex. But, is ionic thrust powerful enough to form a small Tornado? I definitely wanted to find out.

  • Thanks to DeleteMe for sponsoring this build, and for all the viewers who bullied me for years..... to try a vortex design with ionic thrust! You may have created a monster.
  • @kcnl2522
I can see how this can be sold for thousands of dollars to high end restaurants who can afford decorating their place with such machines... you should think about it 👀
  • @N37h4ka
Attach a tesla coil to it so we can get a lightning effect
  • Might be interesting to light it from below with a single central beam. Lasers ?
  • @kmoecub
As a science teacher I request that you either make full build instructions (including materials list) available, or find a partner to make a kit. This is far better than any tornado model that I've seen. Especially since it relies on temperature differential to visualize the vortex formation.
  • You need to put little miniatures of a house, two people running away, and a cow….. 😂😂😂😂 PS , the people should be Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton 😉
  • @Simat_0
I can really see a ''consumer'' version of this with everything fitting in the base. This is really cool.
  • Now we just have to wait for Integza to make a combustible version of this... 2 weeks?
  • @d4rk0v3
The lower speed vortices are the best visually to me. The speed is much better for the scale of the vortex at the lower speeds. They look more tornadic than the high speed setting.
  • @RCFlier0
Oh wow! As a storm chaser I would love to have one of these in my house! Great video.
  • @Quickened1
Man o man, this is why I love your channel so much... You sir, think outside the tube!!! If this doesn't get a subscriber, I don't know what would! Who can resist a person who created his on personal twister??? Maybe another 4' taller, and 2' wider! Ok, so the tube would cost thousands, but so worth it, my goodness! Maybe thrusters stacked together if needed, or even smaller, because, who knows what smaller thrusters would do? You could sell truck loads of smaller versions... Color changing ring light... Wow... Cool man!!! Very COOL!!!
  • @tomekpeki
Line laser to create an illuminated vortex cross section will be a great feature :D
  • @dfektiv1goby
I remember our old conversations about ion lifters, and trying to find a decent TV for the power source. Now here you are, still wearing killer shirts, and messing around. Too cool. Can't wait to see you hit that 1 mill mark.
  • @MaxWithTheSax
Finally a good practical application for these ionic thrusters.
  • @wildfallz
Incredibly cool! I think scripting the voltage so it looks like it’s pulsating would be cool
  • @SethCohn23
Haven't seen this in comments yet: what about a spinning 'toy' in the center? Something that generates lift via the spin (bladed 'flying discs' usually launched from a handheld device).... if the vortex power is right, and the lift balances the weight/gravity, you'd get a floating disc that would just sit there in the middle, riding the vortex. Think 'floating ping pong ball' which can be floated on a simple stream of air, which 'spins' as a globe, but more 'ufo' like, spinning in the direction of vortex, and riding it.

I am certain, that at one point we will learn about you in our historybooks as a pioneer in ionic thrust
