  • Am I the only one that thinks Heavy D is becoming the new American pickers? It’s funny yet extremely interesting and entertaining. Keep it up boys

These random spur of the moment buys are some of the best episodes. They turn into kids in a candy store every time.

The most amazing thing was that the store was pretty much intact and not broken into after being abandoned for 10 to 12 years.

Man it makes me sad to see what someone probably spent their whole life building, just torn apart and ended so quickly. That store was probably bustling back in the day, Detroit houses are crotchety old birds and these neighborhood stores were all we had. The guys working them were the most knowledgeable and helpful you could ever want.
  • The camera panning through the store brought back memories of going into the old mom-and-pop hardware stores getting pretty much whatever was needed at reasonable prices from friendly and helpful people.
  • I think Hans lost his mind after he huffed that cleaner. You guys definitely don’t disappoint. 😂

Used to work at a hardware store as a kid and this brings me back. Lots of key cutting, pipe cutting, pipe fitting and digging through serv-a-lite boxes with countless specialty nuts and bolts helping local folks find that perfect part for their projects. Great find!

I bought the hardware store in Turlock, CA when it closed in 1992. I had nuts and bolts in my shop that everyone in my area would use ( honor system) lasted for 29 years. Lost my home and shop in a fire, burnt to the ground. What a nightmare.

Damn shame the small hardware stores like this are disappearing from our landscape...
  • It is sad to see old hardware stores like that closed down.
  • Ah, the memories of working in a small mom and pop hardware store. I mixed the paint and ran the cash register. There were no big box stores anywhere near, so this was the go-to place for seeds and garden supplies, tools of all kinds, chains, and locks. Small town and everyone knew you or was related somehow. And you could order parts for your vehicle or farm equipment. We always had cold ice water available and hot coffee. It sat right on Main Street. I swear that building had been there since the 1900's.
  • I just wanna say as someone who’s family owns a hardware store that’s been open since 1871, it amazing the amount of stuff I spotted on the shelves that’s been there for decades is the same stuff we have that sits around on our shelves forever too. Also we have that same exact paint mixing equipment, and red devil paint shaker. I don’t know what someone did to that poor paint shaker, but I can tell you the original base is missing, and the paint can flew out because it’s put together wrong. The clamps are supposed to cradle the paint cans sideways not vertically.
  • This brought back so many memories of hardware stores growing up. It is sad, like the end of an era. I am sure they will be missed. I know of a couple of old school hardware stores and do my best to support them. My favorite is a feed and hardware store where nails are still sold by the pound. You have some real treasures in that load.

Lets be honest, we're all just living vicariously through Dave

I like that you have outros now, rather than the sudden cut offs. It makes the videos feel much more complete. Well done!

Props for the videography and editing man. This was 18 ct GOLD. Keep up the good work Heavy D crew. You ROCK!

Polish people are extremely nice. Had polish renters before and they were some of the nicest and honest people we’ve had to rent our home.

Absolutely beautiful truck. Should have showed the interior as well. Really like that y’all left the tool/storage box on the truck behind the sleeper.

One of my favorite memories as a child was going to Western Auto or any local hardware store. I love the feel and the SMELLS of an old fashioned hardware or feed/farm store.
  • So pumped right now going to be in Your neighborhood for two days at end of May. can’t wait to stop by the shop and see where the magic happens!!!
