I didn't tell it on video, but that end you leave sticking out, make sure you twist it so that its facing towards the inside of the snare. Also for Rope snare if doing the quick release knot, only leave about half an inch or an inch sticking out. It dousn't matter if the animal pulls on the loop that is created, that will not untie the knot, it will just make it not quick release.

    Honestly that was one of the best videos I've seen on snares.  You made it really simple and straight forward.  I like that trick with breaking the stick to make your loop on the wire version, and i'm going to have to try that knot for the rope version.  I've just never had good luck with the rope versions so maybe that will help.
