It's REALLY important to note that they're NOT personally "making" $21,613 per month — that's just TOP-LINE revenue (gross sales). The cost of POD items like mugs has gone up a lot recently and at very best they're maybe making HALF of that in actual net income — as long as they're not also advertising to get noticed and get customers, which a LOT of these high revenue shops actually are, so then the bottom-line/net income is MUCH less. Then you have MidJourney subscription and maybe other fees along the way.... $21,613 per month is still great and I love the overall concept of this video, BUT it actually takes a LOT of trial and error time to find winning designs generally AND the numbers in this (and MOST other similar videos) definitely gives people an incredibly false expectation of how easy it is and, particularly, how much money they can make with this.... Other than all that, this is a SUPER helpful video :)

Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol.

To make a profit of $100k only by selling mugs means that you will need to sell around 40k-60k mugs (if you don't have your own print studio and the knowledge needed to produce a quality print for a reasonable price). To sell one mug you will need an average of 40-80 views on your listing, 60 x 50 000 = 3M. The first thing you need to ask yourself is how are you going to bring those 3 million people to your store organically in order to make this 100k of profit. I have been selling on Etsy for 3 years already and trust me guys it's not that easy :P
