Jimi Hendrix's guitar work is like a beautiful impressionist painting. The more you listen the more you hear different messages, subtle melodies, phrasings. He tapped into his poor, broken depressing n lonely childhood to create beautiful melodies, poetry and art. He put everything into it lyrics, singing, artwork, melodies, impeccable taste in covering great songs from other artists, stage presence n mostly his own way of playing guitar.. Anyone who picks up a guitar to learn in the future will always remember Jimi because he is a guitar school himself..

August 1968 I'm sitting in the barracks in Forest Park GA taking AIT; it was a free Sunday and the folks that are tasked with keeping the troops happy came into the barracks with tickets to a concert at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. It was a quiet Sunday and 3 of us went: Vanilla Fudge headlined by....(drum roll please) The Jimi Hendrix Experience!!! It was the bands first tour backing their "Are You Experienced" album of 1967. My very 1st concert....LOL! A sidenote....The Fudge was HEAVY TOO!!!!!!
  • Nothing sounds good like all along the watchtower. That's what I love about Jimi Hendrix. He makes me feel experienced. He will never be replaced.
  • Dylan loved the Jimi version. R. I. P. Jimi. A Legend who will be never forgotten
  • Watching Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix playing this song live together would probably be the best musical experience a human being could have.

Jimi took Dylan's song and resurrected it to 7th level of Heaven. Evenwhen Bob Dylan plays the song he said its like he's paying tribute to Jimi Hendrix
  • The man. The legend. I swear the trauma and pain leaves my body once I hear this tune!

Nobody does it like Hendrix. As far as I am concerned this is the best rock song of all.
  • We might have lost the best guitarist ever known but his music lives on.
  • Yes, Jimmy was the best guitar player there was. They all loved him. Rock on 🤘.
