My vet said it was important to start my cats even though they’re indoors on heartworm medication, such as the topical kind, she said, even though that heart guard was the stuff to give them she said because it can it can lay Dorman in their muscles and the larva can grow once they get it heartworm there’s nothing you can do to prevent it in cats.

If my memory serves me well, I recall watching another one of your videos and you mentioned you have three cats that live entirely indoors. Out of curiosity do you give them heartworm preventative medication/topicals? I have a 6 month kitty that will forever be an indoor cat so I am seriously contemplating not giving him any.

So my cats are in door. Do you think they should be on prevention? They are never outside but I do live in Georgia and gets very hot.
