Published 2022-11-19
This is the third episode of a four-part video series in which I take you, the viewer, through the entire journey of creating a beautiful deep sky image of the Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635), from the data acquisition to the image pre-processing and finally the post-processing. In this video, we post-process the nebula, using PixInsight. Fasten your seat belt, let's go!

  • Great video, thank you very much! I think the video is very clearly laid out and the individual processing steps are explained very well. I like the way you present it.
  • Bonjour Julien, I'm surprised by how much you attenuate the Ha signal in the green channel (4:16). Is it 0.2*Ha/0.2*Sii/0.6*Oiii or rather 0.6*Ha/0.2*Sii/0.2*Oiii? We're losing a lot of the beautiful Ha signal with this formula, aren't we? Great mini series! Thank you! ;)
