Jonathan travels to Mexico for an up close encounter with Bull sharks, infamous for the fact that they are known to be the most dangerous species of shark to humans. He gets to try a chain mail anti-shark suit, and meets a biologist who is studying the sharks to learn more about their population and habits.

  • The sea is salty because of the tears of misunderstood sharks who just want a hug.
  • Jonathan: bull sharks are the most dangerous! Also Jonathan: lets dive with bull sharks!

Bull sharks have the highest levels of testosterone out of any animal. Don't know where that fits in the conversation, I just think it's interesting.
  • This man made up my entire childhood. I vividly remember wanting to become a marine biologist!
  • @DeputyHermann
6:58 The shark missed a fish. So he wanted to hug and cry but he pushed him away. Shame.

am I the only one who thinks this is so freaking cute?
  • Police Shark: Tell me what happened Shark: These aliens descended from above and were giving us food Police Shark: Uh huh Shark: Then they probed my dorsal fin! Police Shark: Sure buddy, look, I have things to do

Woah... how long has it been? Like 5 years and now I’m 14. I frickin love Jonathan’s blue world. I got it in my recommended and I’m happy about it.
  • These videos have me convinced that fish are a LOT more intelligent than people think they are.
  • @LA2Alaska
I love that your are bringing a positive awareness to the sharks. They need all the protection they can get.

It is never a good idea for a wild animal to associate people with food. Considering the fact that playa del Carmen is near Cancun where u have thousands of tourists bathing on a daily basis, it can be an invitation to disaster. You never want a wild animal to lose fear of people.

Dang this guy gave me my love for the ocean as a kid. Hats off to ya Jonathan!
  • @aniimako
I love how plump the stomach of a bull is. it helps me differentiate them from similar looking sharks, and also makes them a bit less intimidating. even though I do still think bulls are terrifying lol. I love all sharks, and don't fear any other sharks but because bulls can be so incredibly aggressive even when completely unprovoked I would rather stay away from them. though this video did change my perspective on them a little bit!
