Crap to Cream. Installing a 32/36 DGV carburetor on an 18V MGB engine

This vid shows the bracketing and cable runs. Lots of vids about overhauling and tuning these carburettors not many about the actual install, carby kit didn’t come with any instructions in the kit.
I have since found out that the carburettor has been installed 180 degrees out. Apart from the issue with the throttle cable the MG ran perfectly, didn’t find any reason to change it around.

better than worn unadjusted SU s, but SU s in good order is faster, behaves more civiliced . have had SU HS4, SU HIF weber dgv, weber dcoe and SU HS6 (wich are my favorite
  • Hate to break it to u, the fuel bowl side goes towards the front of the car , this is why your throttle cable don’t line up

You people are to snobby ! The man is happy leave him alone.
  • Just my opinion. The downdraft Weber is junk. A very poor substitute for a proper set of SUs. You have already experienced that these are NOT a dedicated carb for a B.. they are "universal" . They get poor fuel mileage, are notchy owing to "universal" jetting.. and they are easily overheated causing fuel percolation. And the worst of these are the latest ones made in Spain, not Italy. Consider this .. the air fuel mix goes straight down then makes a 90 degree turn.. a complete joke. I have considerable experience with these and when found, replace them immediately. If you are going to use a WEBER on a B.. get a proper DCOE 45 made in ITALY.
