Setting up a permanent military base would be of large geopolitical importance not only for Poland and its bilateral relations with the United States but it would also positively influence the situation in Central and Eastern Europe. The idea of U.S. permanent military base in Poland is also advocated by Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, and Ukraine, all of them being most at risk from Russian military aggression.

    It's a stupid idea. Russia does not want any nato bases in the countries bordering Russia. Look what's happening to Ukrain. what would the U.S. do if Russia and chins put bases in Mexico Cuba and china. There is no reason to have nato forces in the countries bordering Russia. As Russia said no nato and no army in Ukraine. Nato is the aggressor, and the people of Ukraine are waking up. Poland should put some serious thought into what is going to happen to them. How is the ukraine doing with all that support nato is giving them.

    Poland is a gracious country with strong principled leaders and people. A true friend to Ukraine as are Lithuania, Latvia and the free world.
