War. War never changes. Except after 25 years, it has. A multiplayer game, a TV show, heck, even being a first person shooter. All of this was once inconceivable for the B-tier CRPG project. Now, it's considered one of the biggest ever video game IP and that means it's time to go back to the original, seeing how it fares in Bethesda and Obsidian dominated Fallout space.

F@king lockmort! You're great at this, keep it coming!

One of my Most Wanted games that I know will never happen would be a Baldur's Gate 3 style modern Fallout game.

"There's no way to highlight what to click on" hold SHIFT key Oh, the beauty about finding out useful gameplay info AFTER finishing because nobody reads manuals anymore xD

13:30 I STRONGLY recommend seeking out the Fallout Fixt fan patch. It fixes some bugs, adds back broken quests, and adds some quality of life features like easer extra inventory management buttons (from FO2), more orders for companions (like when they block your path), and allowing companions to change their armor (now you can keep Ian alive in Mariposa)
  • Fallout 3 came out when I was 15. I loved it so much I went back to play the original Fallout. You know what? 15 year old me loved that too! I never understood the whole old games are old sayings when it's also true that great games are great. To this day I still play old classics I missed out on having recently played the original Deus Ex as well as Planescape: Torment.

*You Missed *You Were Hit for 5 points *You Missed *You critically miss and drop your weapon I love this game!

Great start to the new era gents! Might help to add a narrator info bump somewhere but I'm happy to say the spirit of the content is still true to the mission of the channel!

Great work, Lock! I feel like you bring a great mix of humor and info. Looking forward to your next video, man!

Saw someone mention "Fixd".. I would also recommend: 1) Fallout "1in2" (it contains "fixd as well as all the QoL from Fallout 2 (requires an install of F2) 2) Reading the manual 3) Quick Help page in-game accessed by F1-key 4) Saving the game. A lot. Every time you remember. Everytime you leave an area. Anytime you survive combat. In a new slot. Hang in there 👍

Great video again!! With adding more patreon questions, I wonder if the Retro team is thinking about doing a strictly Q&A style of videos? Maybe like Jake Baldino who does it monthly (and is Matty’s friend if I understand the “lore” correctly)?

Shouldn't skip Wasteland 2, I actually preferred it to 3
  • @midnightdt
Great video lock. Wasteland 3 is awesome as well I agree.

Just wanted to comment on how cool it is to implement the Patreon questions in the retrospective, great addition! Also, has Lockmort played Arcanum? I think a video on that game would be interesting seeing as how it was the next game from the creators of Fallout. Arcanum would be fun to go back to now that some of the members of that dev team are currently working on Clockwork revolution.

Love the lockmort videos, keep them coming… one thing maybe we can add something to the thumbnail or title that would differentiate it? Just an idea to Highlight lock more !!
