I wish him the absolute best and hope he can make it. To play in the NFL would be outrageous. Good luck to him.

Special teams/Punt returner is his best shot imo. People really undervalue the elite level a football iq these guys have in the NFL, ON TOP of being the best of the best athletically AND experience of playing it all their lives

Craig Doyle is the perfect man to host this, nice to see someone who understands both games and what skills are transferable or not.

You can bet Louis is going in with his eyes wide open ready to give it his all. He knows and loves American Football, I know he'll absolutely smash it.

One thing that I love Rees-Zammit talking about that I've really never heard any other pro talk about is how difficult it is to get used to the helmet. The first time I put on a helmet and realized all my peripheral vision was immediately gone, it was actually claustrophobic and took a huge amount of getting used to. I still remember the fear I felt for the first few weeks/months and how I was missing plays I could easily have made when I didn't have a helmet on

Lads got a chance, he might be even more explosive once they beef him up a bit in the US! I reckon his best shot is kick return, seems like there would be a lot of similarities to playing back 3 in rugby there. Gutted for Wales, but would definitely tune in to watch him if he made it.

I really don’t get the issue he has already cemented his career in rugby so he can always come back

210, 6'3 and can fly?! A lot of teams will try to stash him on their practice squad.

Money, simple… And who can blame him?
  • Wales don’t need him with Dyer, Adams and Grady there is plenty of depth there and North can always do a job on the wing even if he has lost a yard or two of pace

Let's be honest,if he wears a helmet, his hair won't get messed up,seriously all the best to him,the welsh team will miss him.

The work experience kid mucked up the thumbnail text

I believe NFL teams have to have at least one foreign player on their practice squad going forward, it's just a form of good PR for them and a way to convince people it's an international sport (when it isn't) so he has the potential make decent enough money for very little effort so smart move by him but I doubt he'll make it as a top player or even close.

Whoever picks him up needs to do no huddle hurry up offense, and just give Zammit the ball. The defenders will not be able to keep up. They be gasping for air.

Athletes have a very limited timeframe to earn. If you’ve got the gifts, you go where the money is. Even still, it’s a very long shot you make it in the NFL.
