  • Hey guys, in the 90s my parents decided to get into emu farming here in Australia. We started of with 16 adult birds, 8 pairs. They all went in a 5 acre paddock. We had large round bales of hay, 2 at each spot, with the edge of 2 bales touching to give a triangle area, windbreak to lay eggs. We collect eggs everyday and incubated. We ended up with 100 birds after 2 years.

So sorry guys. I am rooting for the next batch. Keep the faith!
  • What a shame no baby emus this time but I am very positive there is success in the future, thank you for everything you do and share with us, love all your videos.
  • Can’t believe I have followed you all that long since your first egg hatched bamboo xxx
  • @creamundi3280
❤ I came here since you showed Bamboo being born. Can't wait the outcome of this video. Just started watching, couldn't resist leaving a comment 😊
  • @oldbear6813
It's adorable how Bert stepped right up and started sitting on the eggs 🥰
  • @joanne_oxx
Wow I have been following this channel for nearly 5 years now 😮❤
  • You so don’t have to put up with the snarky people, report them and block them. It’s that old saying “ if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all” . Good luck with the breeding of the Emus🤞🙋🏼‍♀️
  • I strongly suspect the 2 eggs that had a small bit of blood and a little mass in them were fertile, but like you said the cold may have gotten them before they could develop further. Maybe thats why Peekaboo was breaking them earlier, trying to reclaim nutrients since she knew they died? Just based on how the other 2 eggs, one being rotten and the other pure yellow yolk. If that was the case then high hopes on the eggs Bert is trying to incubate and the others you picked up outside are fertile! Also cross fingers for switching the males.

Exciting one is sitting on them….hopefully you get at least one baby Emu! ❤ I am sorry people feel the need to attack you…it’s so unnecessary. Thank you for sharing your beautiful birds with us. ☺️

Oh that puts into perspective how long I've been watching you guys I can remember Isaiah being born. Happy late Birthday little man!
  • Happy Birthday Isaiah I hope you had a wonderful birthday 🎉🥳🥳 I hope your other eggs hatch out ❤️🗝️👍🗝️🇺🇸
  • @ThatOneSammi
I've been here since before you hatched out Bamboo. I'm so looking forward to more Emu in the future on your farm. I know you will have success! Give them time ❤
  • @TheReaper1
It’s an undesirable result, but it’s an excellent learning experience for you and your kids. If everything right happens, you’ll never know how to act when something goes wrong. Count these experiences as blessings. You will soon prosper and it will be that much greater!
  • I have a family member who has emo eggs and they told me that the first couple off eggs would proply not be fertilized but after 1-2 years they odds get better hoping for next year!🥰
  • I can't believe Isaiah is already 4 years old. Where does the time go... I do wish some of the first set of emu eggs had been viable. At least you'd know the adults were actually doing their jobs. 😆 But it's not over yet. I've got my fingers crossed. 🤞
  • @thagibson9116
its kind of crazy to think that i've been watching your videos for 5+ years already, before that little guy was born. Happy birthday little one <3 xx
  • @mochibear8933
Happy belated Birthday Isaiah! I can't believe how quick time has passed & the kids are growing up, it seems like only yesterday you were doing hatching videos and then Bamboo came along. You'll work it out with the Emu's now you know they are breeding. I can imagine getting big projects done on the farm over the winter months is somewhat challenging, along with the delay we're still experiencing in supply for materials holding things up. It's your farm, we're just here for the ride 😊
  • @fox1098216
The eggs not being viable may be why the emus were ignoring them before and starting to break them. Sometimes animals just know if something's wrong and decide not to invest time in it. So sorry, and best of luck on the next batch. It's definitely encouraging that they're being cared for.
  • @yeah4me1
Wow, I remember when you first got Bambo, running around the house in a homemade diaper!! Look how far you've come.
