When I first started out crappie fishing, I didn't have a lot of money to spend and I didn't know what to buy. This video will help you put together a crappie fishing starter kit while on a budget.

  • I spend more time than I'd like to admit shopping the fishing aisle at WalMart.

Ok, I am finally getting time to restart mission to catch fish. (Yes, I am an "old guy.") Your video was perfect for relearning all the basic things I have forgotten. And your style of showing us the various options made your comments believable. Too many "fish experts" talk about the $250 rod, $200 reel, and some super "whiz-bang" bait that they swear by. This video is great for the new guy looking to not spend a fortune to get started. Subscribed and will now spend this "stay-at-home" time to watch your other videos. Looking forward to learning all the way back up to "expert."

Make no mistake about it: I’m not offended. I AM cheap. 🤣 Much appreciated for the info!

Man I love the energy! Still watching but so far an amazing video! 💯🎣

Good info. I built my first rod using some of this guidance. It’s a Shakespeare 6’6” Ultralight Fast Action with a Cadence 2000 series spinning reel. Set it up with 6lb monofilament line for trout fishing in medium width rivers/streams. Planning to use it this week. All in, I think it cost me about $100 to get set up and that was including a small kit with some lures and hooks and stuff.
  • i work at walmart, but i’m leaving after graduation to mentally prepare for college. i want to fish at the lake near my house and this really helped, and that discount will help me stay under budget too
  • Keep it up brother. I like the way you like to help people save money with the fishing fever.

Your are the truth, I tell my co workers to watch you and learn. Man I’m still learning but I always refer to your videos in case I miss something or overlooked. So thank you for posting.

WOW this was perfect timing. I was on my way out the door to go to Walmart to buy some fishing gear to go fishing today. I just came to shut down You tube and this video was right on the top of my feed so I just had to watch this.

I love Walmart. I get my weights/split shots, nets, night crawlers, and crappie nibbles there
  • @misterj2207
This is good stuff, I will do my fishing pole shopping at Wal-Mart thanks man! Your explaining stuff that I never learned before you got yourself a new sub.
  • @laoboy1
A plus to buying stuff from Walmart is. It’s a life time warranty lol my rods be breaking and I be taking it right back and they would take it 👍
  • @michaels2208
Thank you so much. I fished a lot as a kid but never really learned what hear I used. Now beat up from the army, a million years later, I'm trying to figure out how to go fishing again. Definitely heading to Walmart later.
