Something I always loved about Escanor is how, despite essentially being a God with his sun power, he takes pride in being a human. He could very easily call himself a God, and most people would say he is, but not Escanor. He took pride in being a 'mere human'.

Escanor, the prime example of what makes humanity great. First appears to be unassuming and unimpressive, but when angered, our true might is revealed. The only thing missing is the mastery of creation and problem solving, but that is why there are more then one example.
