The reason that Q.E. singularities only stack to 2 is because their primary use outside this pack is in Applied Energistics 2. Each pair has a unique nbt tag, used by AE2 to link Quantum Rings, which allow you to extend your ME system across dimensions and vast distances without spending massive anounts of resources. Now you know, confused commenter (and maybe Polartt too, but you probably had a good idea already)

I think i just realized what had me hoping for you to continue this series for all this time. It's the recognizability(is that a word?) of your builds. I watched plenty of other modpack playthroughs around the time you started this series but the way you design your world is just so fitting to the idea of the pack that i didnt even have to watch the recaps to know where you were at
  • @mr.lemonlime8935
So a few things 1. quantum catcher and be used to capture mobs 2. the eternals tella doesn't work if there's mending or unbreaking on the item 3. I love your build style

So it looks like autofishing was a pain for you. However, it's probably because you took the less effective approach. Here's how you can use Reliquary to amp up your fishing game, and even automate it to do far more than just fishing: *cracks knuckles* Reliquary has these really cool blocks called pedestals. Normally, pedestals are used to display items for decoration purposes. However, surrounding a pedestal with four diamonds will turn it into a functional one. When a valid item is in the pedestal, it will perform a unique function - swords can kill mobs, buckets can milk cows, shears can get wool from sheep, along with other things shown in the pedestal's info tab in JEI. The most useful one here is the fishing rod, which can automatically fish up items with no player input necessary. By placing a fishing rod in a pedestal above some water, activate the pedestal and the rod will cast into the water. Once it catches a fish, it will be thrown over the pedestal and behind it. This is where you might use a Vacuumulator to pick items up; however, since you have Reliquary drops coming in from your shop, you might consider a Coin of Fortune instead. When in an active pedestal, the coin will pick up items in a fairly-sized radius around it and put them into adjacent storage blocks. I'd suggest a barrel of some sort. Since fishing also rewards experience, the pedestal fisher will also generate xp orbs to collect. You can do this with a Coin of Fortune if you place it next to another pedestal with a Hero's Medallion inside it. This medal is essentially an experience holder, able to store hundreds of thousands of experience points for whatever enchanting endeavors you choose to pursue. A medal pedestal becomes a fluid tank for the xp picked up by a coin pedestal, which is pretty handy. Additionally, if you place a medal pedestal next to one holding a Mending tool, the item will be repaired with the medal's stored XP! Alternatively, you could find a way to send xp orbs into a Black Hole from Forbidden & Arcanus - made by dropping Corrupti Dust and Dark Matter in the same block - and produce Xpetrified Orbs without needing to search for the ore in your world. There's actually a net experience gain in using Black Holes for experience processing! You may end up using this if you choose to put a stella on your rod instead of mending. Speaking of the fishing rod, you'll probably benefit from using a Tackle Box to give your rod a new hook. With all that buddysteel you've got in excess, some of it can go into a Buddysteel Rod and a Buddysteel Hook. The hook will give you a chance to catch Aquaculture packs, which you can use to craft mystery packs instead of buying them manually since, if I remember correctly, all the components for the crafting recipe can be obtained with the help of the Trading Station. You can even open the packs automatically with a deployer! Through your setup, you'll be able to catch lots of fish to sell, junk items like lily pads and leather boots, treasure like enchanted books (maybe you'll get a book with five random enchants!), and even Neptune's Bounties. These bounties will contain Neptunium, a powerful material only acquirable through fishing, in the form of ingots and tools/armor. If you don't plan to collect every neptunium item or want to scrap the excess, the bounty chests can be crushed into more Neptunium - which has a pretty good sell price - and the items can be smelted into ingots/nuggets. There's a lot to consider here, but try this out! You could even use some of the outputs for a pretty good food supply.
  • I love how you go above and beyond when designing your base and machines. This series has been a blast to watch :D

Can't help but notice your Buddysteel gear is still at 98% despite you having all of the medals. This is caused by the Minecraft pick up statistics (which 1.16 buddycards uses to track whether you have a card or not) not registering that you have a card. I never quite figured out why this happened, and changed it for 1.17-18 to my own system to keep track. The common thing I tell people that tends to solve the problem is dropping one of each buddycard and picking them up again until the missing one registers. I assume you probably think this is due to missing a card from BYG set, but the gear only checks for loaded sets (BYG is unloaded, which is why you can only find them in mystery packs). I also find it very odd that it is only letting you use BYG cards to make the perfect medal, as the item tag was made with the tags for all epic rarity cards, but it also requires specifically the Zylex and Luminis medal (Which are specialty items very hard to obtain), not just any set medals, which is why its considered the hardest item to obtain in the mod. I'm glad to see you enjoying Buddycards, and congratulations on getting much further than most people have!

Above and Beyond is back!! I really enjoy this series and am happy to see you release a new episode of it!
  • @nify__
glad to see the series making a return, really missed watching it
  • The funny fishing farm method I used was to have a platform going up from the water to air-drown fish, then have it go down to wait for more spawns to bring to the surface again. Another method would have been a fishing rod with mending or indestructible in a pedestal, maybe next to a pedestal with the XP vacuum coin if mending is used.
  • @pagnean4234
This has to be the longest running CA&B series 😂🎉 Glad it’s back
  • @fofogoo
the zylex math was going crazy 😂
  • @CreateShowcasing
As a person who has a laggy computer if your world keeps getting laggier try replacing your belts with trains which look better and increase your fps alot!
  • @Skylar_minecraft
these videos are underrated, as is polartt, sad to see so little views, likes and comments, but at least we who are here are with you, polartt
  • Btw since you used 2x2 drawers, give them void upgrades or else the first itrm that fills up will prevent the second one from entering the drawer
  • @uion6599

  • @Steampunk_Ocelot

32:00 i was stuck on this tree farm for a bit, but basically the contact tells the redstone link to send a frequency to the one on the ground, which tells the adjustable pulse repeater to wait for how ever long you set it for (for the items to be extracted) , until it sends a signal to the power latch, which turns on the redstone repeater that turns on the restone link, which then sends a frequency to another redstone link thatll turn on gearshift(that will be connected to the gantry); sending the contraption the other direction. then itll reach the other redstone contact and itll tell the connected redstone link to send a frequency to a redstone link that will be next to the powered latch, and will turn off the powered latch which will stop the redstone link that is sending a frequency to the gearshift (turning it off); and sending it back. and then repeat. the AND gate is useless if you want to only do one side of this type of tree farm. (make sure nothing is stopping your contraption from moving, and everything is connected properly) (explosions near the contraption will destroy the glue)
