Maya's fusion of carnatic with metal is what put it over the top for me. That was just mesmerizing and like many, I was not ready when she finished. We all wanted more. Brava Maya!

Maya mentioned earlier that she would be playing a Papa Roach piece. Her father is a heavy metal fan and plays as a hobby but he began teaching her when she was 6.....then she learned more via Youtube tabs etc.

I picked up a riff in the middle of her guitar solo that she used slowed down in the beginning intro. Same cord progression. So she added a bit of her own spin to start. It is a cover & I'm sure there will be plenty in the comments who'll mention the music & artist.
