The people saying idubbbz is overreacting are the ones that are overreacting to his apology.

I hesitated making this video because it’s not my usual type of content and I’m also extreeemely late to it (pls don’t make fun of me) but I thought it was very stupid that people were saying the apology wasn’t warranted for invalid reasons as if we didn’t watch the same apology. He clearly explained a lot so that no one would misunderstand but people misunderstood because he was explaining a lot so it just goes round and round into a full circle.

I literally just stopped drawing for this lol. I promise this is going to be a one time thing, unless you (my subscribers) are okay with this type of content.

Those who say idubbbz's apology wasn't necessary probably haven't watched his apology video Those who say it was necessary probably never watched idubbbz.
  • ian is one of, if not the only, youtuber who i believe has actually changed and is actually a good person. It’s not my place to accept or deny his apology but my god has he changed. he’s pretty cool now, even if ppl refuse to believe that because they miss a bigoted mindset. And this says a lot because he was one of the worst content and non criminal offense wise

I'm sure there are a bunch of reasons ppl are having difficulty with this apology, but I think the main reason is that ppl don't know what a sinciere, non-defensive apology looks like. Cause to give a good apology you have to say what you did and kinda own it. You have to acknowledge the harm that you've done. You can't sugarcoat it or try rationalize why you did what you did. I think that non-defensiveness feels like overkill when you've never had to really apologize for some harmful behavior lol.

The fact that you have to break down a pretty reasonable and genuine apology video point by point males me lose what little hope I have left for these edgy little youtubers. All of these guys criticizing his apology seem like they either have zero media comprehension skills or are reacting negatively because it's the popular thing to do so they need to get that grift going.
