"It's fine, Parker. I invented this equipment i think i can handle it" Press X to doubt

"Wait, where are the arms?" arms appear Every Spider-Man fan: Oh dear.

38:27 Peter was honestly considering helping Doc for a second, but when Doc threatened his identity he realized he was off the deep end.

this actually made me cry... a doctor that just wanted to help disabled people, help them to be normal... went into this madness... so sad...
  • @Babadoe117
Can we appreciate how this game kept its main villain a secret till it’s release
  • @Auzzie015
Its actually heartbreaking to see when Otto says, 'If they take me away, they'll take my arms'. Its really humanizing even after all he's done to see an old man afraid to have to watch as his body becomes nothing but a shell.
  • @sir1ance1ot64
Small detail, but I found it neat how the schematics on otto's drawing boards became more wild and menacing looking throughout the story, signaling his change in personality
  • @BossStar1995
I honestly love how Otto is doing things involving prosthetics because he's soon to be completely paralyzed. It feels so real and genuine, and makes it all the more impactful and sad that Otto ended up falling to madness.
  • @TidusX16
Honestly, Otto Octavius as a mentor to Peter is just a great choice! It worked so well in Spider-Man 2 and here.
  • @freetothink284
Lines that hit like a truck "You were everything I wanted to be!" "I'll be trapped in this useless body!" "Peter? Peter where are you going? Peter. PETER!"
  • I love that doctor octopus is a leader that actually cares for his team and is doing things to help them out like freeing Aleksi from his suit and bringing electro closer to his dream
  • What’s interesting is that you can see the limbs slowly becoming less human like and more octopus as time goes on. The reasons for making it like that are viable too, which is neat.
  • @DatsRandom
I love the fact that Doc Ock, an 50 year old withering man, manage to bring a dangerous team together, with him in charge.
  • @TheSteamLord
I 100% believe Otto knew right there that Peter was Spider-Man. He’s a genius mind, he even said it’s obvious. The great thing was when he saw how it shook Peter up, he decided to play it off and calm him. He was a real good friend. It wasn’t until he was against Peter he finally revealed that he was completely aware of who he was.
  • @S_fromm43
I love how this game builds the relationship between them and makes his inevitable betrayal that much more heart breaking. Sony pictures could learn a thing or 2 from this.
  • @anothergamer112
"Thank you Peter...for everything." He 100% knew he was already too far gone, but still didn't want Peter caught up in it. It makes this incarnation of Doc Oc all the more tragic.
  • @jbourbon3734
I really like how they don't immediately have Otto be evil. They have him start out good, make him mentally change in a realistic way, and so it feels more hurtful when he abandons his ideals for revenge.
  • @rabd3721
See, the thing I appreciate about this Doc Oc version is that it treats the arms as the scientific breakthrough they should be. In Rami's movie, as much as I love it, the arms are treated as a scientific afterthought. But the implications of having a neural connection with artificial limbs would be a huge breakthrough in the real world.
  • @FAlty75
Fun Fact: the voice actor who voiced Doc Ock also voiced Rigby in Regular Show
  • This game did something I've never seen a game do. Every single one of us, each and every one, knew the ending. We knew exactly what was gonna happen, from the second they said his name was Otto Octavius. And it still hurt to watch.
